If I complete MBBS from a MCI recognised college outside India, then should I have to appear for Screening test to practice in India after completing MBBS.

.

Dear member.

Thank you very much for the query asked to me specifically.

Even though one has finished MBBS in South India Recognized by Medical Council of India, that will be valid only for the Under graduation.

When then for the Specialization which has been done in Foreign countries other than Medical Council of India's reciprocal recognition, has to undergo the screening test for registration.

In one word, yes the one who qualified and registered with MCI with indian MBBS degree, if he completes his Post graduation, ha has to undergo screening test to register with MCI to practice in India with the specialty in which he has done post graduation abroad.

Hi, Once you complete your MBBS and One year compulsory internsship, you have to Register With the State medical Council of the State in which You have studied MBBS. That will be automatically sent to Medical Council of India. There is no need to apply or write for the registration.

Where as the one who have finished their MBBS out side India, which do not come under MCI perview ( Ref; www.mciindia.org) should write for the screening test.
