There is no percentage criteria for IPS examination. You should be just pass in the Graduation from a recognised university.

So if you are having the Graduation degree then you can apply for IPS examination .

But your age should be according to the norms . The age required in 21 to 30 years if you are General Category candidate.

There will be age relaxation for SC/ST, OBC and Ex servicemen categories.

If you have above qualifications then you can apply for IPS examination by visiting UPSC website http://www.upsconline.nic.in

The application fee can be paid through Net Banking or Bank Challan.

The selection as IPS officer will depend on the performance in written examination, Personal Interview and Medical examination.

You must be medically fit if you want to become an IPS officer.

Re: How much percentage do I need in graduation to sit in IPS exam?

The marks obtained in the graduation are not at all set for any criteria in order to sit in IPS exam, as the upsc doesn't wants any percentage criteria for the eligibility.
The only eligibility is that you should be a graduate or in final year of graduation from any recognized Indian university and your age should be not less than 21 years and not more then 30 years.
