Re: How to take admission in B.Tech after passing BSc with 57%? The Bachelor of Science graduates can apply for B.Tech through lateral entry. Just the way diploma holders can take admission into the second year of B.Tech course, B.Sc candidates can also take admission in the second year of Engineering. This was done due to shrinking value of the bachelor of Science course. Therefore you can take the admission through lateral entry scheme. Most colleges in India reserve some seats for the lateral entry candidates. Now it is important to understand that the following entrance exams do not offer lateral entry admission: IIT-JEE AIEEE BITSAT UPSEE ISEET You can apply for direct admission into the engineering colleges. For that you need at least 50 percent marks in Bachelor of Science course. Most colleges offer direct admission to the Bachelor of Science student for lateral entry. However there are some colleges that may ask you to appear for the entrance exam. Please also remember that IITs and NITs do not offer admission under lateral entry scheme. |

Re: How to take admission in B.Tech after passing BSc with 57%? Admission to B.Tech degrees are offered through engineering entrance exams. Entrance exams are conducted either at national level or at state level. Based on the score of this common written exam, one can apply for the course through the official website of the institution that offers the same. Pass in 12th is the minimum qualification required to attend the entrance exam. Qualification must be obtained from a recognized institution with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects. |
