Any Degree or Diploma, which is approved by the the Distance Education Council and the Universities offering those course are recognized by University Grant Commission[UGC], almost gets the same recognition as any other regular degrees. There is no such rule that a candidate holding a diploma or degree through distance mode is not eligible for the regular course. If the degree is recognized by the above mentioned regulatory bodies, then candidate can pursue higher studies through regular mode given they must have scored good marks.
However, if any technical program is been done through distance mode it may not get the same recognition. The reason is that AICTE do not approve distance programs in technical department apart for MBA and MCA.
