Hi

IIT JEE is one of the toughest Entrances at the Under Graduate Level. So you have to be really good and up to date with your preparation. Since there is not much time left for the IIT JEE this year 2013, I am providing you with some short tips which you can adopt for your preparation of the IIT.

At first I would say that keep focused on your preparations. This is very crucial time for your preparation and please do not get distracted at this time as its the time to gear up for the exam.

Secondly I would say that whatever you have done, revise well and please do not try to attempt or study new things. This would confuse you and can create problems leading to wastage of time.

Thirdly Please give equal time to all the 3 subjects of your Physics Chemistry and Maths. This would ensure that you can clear the cut off of all the 6 papers that IIT would test you on.

Focus more on concepts than mugging up as the IIT JEE Paper is totally based on concepts and so memorizing anything won't help much. Yeah sure you can memorize formulas, tricks and other short things like shortcuts.

Keep away from distractions. It would only waste your time and take you off track. Your friends, TV, Phone, Internet, Games etc can wait till the IIT JEE and you can give them time after the exam is over.

Rest you have to study really hard. There is no substitute to hard work and so if you are determined to do it then nobody can stop you. Always remember this.

Hope this helps
All the best
Regards

Hi

1-Make your preparation going in view of your final exam...
2-Don't think of the marks which u get in your Minor tests since they don't matter if u really preparing in view of your final exam...
3-Don't forget to prepare short notes which u can revise before the exam day
4-Try to memorize the concepts when you are free , I mean in a Journey or something like that...
5-DON'T WASTE THE TIME

I believe preparation for iit can be done mainly using NCERT text books,
- improve your calculous especially in maths and physics.
- take help of any distance study material provided by good coaching centres like FIIT jEE , AAKASH IIT JEE, MADEEASY etc

Re: How to prepare for IIT exam?

before iit(advance) you have to qualify mains ..for its preparation you need to have good control over calculus in mathematics, mechanics and modern physics, and inorganic and organic chemistry..bonding chapter also needs to be focused on..at this much of less time you should prefer ncert books

Re: How to prepare for IIT exam?

Admissions to B.Tech programs in IIT for the year will be done through two stages, JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Those who pass Paper I of mains exam will be considered for Advanced. Questions on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are asked for mains exam. Preparation on this can be done mainly using NCERT text books. Other reference books and previous year question papers can also be used for study.
