HBIT Kanpur M.Tech Admission 2012:- Eligibility Condition:- General/ OBC candidates, with 60 % marks in graduation in Engineering or Technology or equivalent, are eligible. SC/ST candidates, with 55 % marks in graduation in Engineering or Technology or equivalent, are eligible. Selection Procedure:- The candidate has to fill an application form on-line with all the relevant details and send print copy of the same along with requisite fee and certified copy of documents related to qualifications on or before the last date prescribed by the University. The sort-listed eligible candidates shall be called for counseling. The schedule of counseling will be available on the University website Students having domicile of Uttar Pradesh shall be given first preference and subsequently the candidate having domicile outside U.P. will be considered only if seats are vacant/ unfilled. Candidates with required qualifications and with valid GATE scores will be given first preference in admission. SVNIT Surat M.Tech Admission 2012:- SVNIT Surat M.Tech Admission Procedure 2012:- NON - SPONSORED CANDIDATES (with GATE score):- a) OPEN CATEGORY/OBC CATEGORY:- B.E./ B. Tech. or equivalent degree in respective discipline with minimum of 50% aggregate (all semesters/years) marks or (CGPA 5.5) and Possessing valid GATE score. b) RESERVED SC/ST CATEGORY B.E./ B. Tech. or equivalent degree in respective discipline with minimum of 45% aggregate (all semesters/years) marks or (5.0 CGPA) and Possessing valid GATE score. The admission will be given based on common merit list prepared as per following criteria for each basic discipline offering PG programmes. 100% weightage to the GATE score. The seat will be allotted based on merit of GATE Score and preference of specialization given by the candidates. Thapar University M.Tech Admission 2012:- ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION:- Admission to all the ME/MTech programmes shall be made on the basis of merit of the Entrance test to be conducted by the Thapar University. GATE Score card shall be used for the purpose of scholarship only. Admission to ME/MTech programme will be open to a candidate who obtains at least 50% marks in the aggregate in the qualifying examination from a recognised University. Thermal Engineering:- BE/BTech degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial/Aeronautical/Chemical/RAC/Automobile Engineering MTech Programmes:- Materials & Metallurgical Engineering:- BE/BTech degree in any branch of Engineering OR MSc in Materials Science/Physics/ Chemistry (with Physics and Mathematics at BSc Level) Environmental Science & Technology:- BE/BTech degree in Civil/Chemical/Mining/Metallurgy/Biotechnology Engineering OR MSc in Chemistry/Bio-chemistry/Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Atmospheric Sciences.
