Re: What is the difference between IT engineering and computer science engineering?

The syllabus of both the streams is almost similar but some topics are different for both subjects.

Main difference is that CSE are good at hardware engineering and IT will have knowledge about soft skills only.

Computer Science Engineering will teach you theoretical foundations of information and computation of practical techniques for their application in computer systems. You will also learn about networking ,visualisation and web.

After doing CSE you can join following field:

-Design and Development

-Assembly

-Manufacturing and Maintenance

Along with above you can also join fields like programming, web developer etc.

IT Engineering will teach you about wide range of interlocking technologies including, computer controlled technology, computer networks, web based applications, designing computer systems, embedded systems & information transmission and reception. It will involve soft skills only and you will not study about hardware in IT Engineering.

In my opinion you should go for Computer science engineering because it will make you ready for both software and hardware engineering.

But in the end choice is yours so decide according to your interest. The jobs in IT sector are more so you can also opt for it.

HI,

Computer Science” is the mixture and application of “Applied Mathematics”, “Electrical Engineering“, and “Complexity Theory/Algorithms” to understand and/or model information. In other words, the “field of computation”.

“Information Technology” is the mixture and application of “Programming”, “Hardware Administration”, “Software Administration”, “Networking“, “Network Security” and “Technical Support”. In other words, the “management of computers”.

thank you...............................

1. Computer science deals with both hardware and software but IT deals mostly with soft wares only.

2. Computer science deals with creating computer programs while IT deals with the usage of those programs in business.

3. Computer science is at the ‘lower level’ while Information technology is at high level, in computing terms.

4. Information technology integrates computer science into the business world for automated solutions.

5. Computer scientists should have low level workings of computers whereas in IT that’s not necessary.

I would suggest you to go for CS as scope and job opportunities is much much high of this.

Also these two branches are quite similar but the software companies mainly recruits Computer Science engineers.

IT involves planning and building networks, maintaining and managing computers, and so on. Because this degree teaches how touse commercial products to solve problems, this is a degree that's not very involved, and is often offered by technical schools and community colleges rather than serious four-year schools.
Computer Engineering studies both hardware and software at a low level--a combination of electrical engineering and computer science. Students will learn how is hardware designed and implemented at the chip level; how to make their own computers from the ground up, rather than buying parts and plugging them together. How to design and build software from the ground up, rather than buying commercial packages. This is a serious degree, offered by larger four-year schools

Dear

In general, IT involves planning and building networks, maintaining and managing computers, and so on. Because this degree teaches how to use commercial products to solve problems, this is a degree that's not very involved, and is often offered by technical schools and community colleges rather than serious four-year schools.

Which one is better is to choose yourself will be good. I suggest you to to choose computer engineering.
