For IAS exam Graduates from any discipline are eligible to apply. Those who are in final year and are expecting their result on time can also apply .

So if you are a Geography Graduate from a recognized university then definitely you can apply for IAS exam.

The age limit for IAS exam is 21 to 30 years for General category . There is 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST , 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category.

Number of limits for General category is 4 and for OBC it is 7.

The number of limits for SC/ST is unlimited and they can apply till their age limit exceeds.

The IAS exam contains 3 stages :

-CSAT

-IAS mains

-Interview

After passing CSAT you will be allowed to appear for IAS mains . In IAS mains you have to select optional subject of your choice.

If you have done geography graduation then you can select geography as your subject in IAS mains exam.

The merit is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in IAS mains and interview.
