For joining this service you have to go through the all the different stages of the Civil services examinations. In order to become IPS officer,first of all you need to become eligible for the Civil services and then apply for the exam at www.upsconline.nic.in and then give the different stages that are : >>Preliminary test >>Main examination and personal interview and clear all the stages the only you will become an IPS officer.
