Level of government jobs differs based on your educational qualification.
The best jobs will be for you to prepare for SSC & UPSC Exam.

Basic eligibility that you will have to meet for appearing in this exam are

For UPSC
-->>Your minimum educational qualification should be Graduation passed out in any stream from recognized university.
-->>Your minimum age should be 21 years and not above 30 years.

Exam Pattern :-
~Preliminary Exam - CSAT Exam
~Mains Exam.
~Interview.

For SSC CGL
-->>Graduation degree in any discipline.
-->>Minimum marks in Graduation should be 50%.

Exam Pattern :-
~Tier I
~Tier II
~Interview + Medical Test

You will have to get well command on these common subjects

~Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
~Basic Numerical based of Trigonometry,Geometry and Mensuration.
~Data Interpretation.
~English Grammar and Comprehension.
~Current Affairs on National and International Issues.
~General Knowledge of Modern Indian and World.
~Ecology and Environmental science.
~History and Geography of India and World.

You will able to get latest updates on central / state level government jobs official portal.This portal is Employment News.

NOTE :- You will able to read the contents only twice a week :- Saturday and Wednesday from 2.30 to 5.00 pm .

After the engineering, you can join many government sector but you have to work very hard consistently without ni stone left un-turn.

here are the list of exam

>>GATE: this is a exam conducted by IITs and IISC for doing PG n engineering branch.

>>PSU: PSU like BHEL,NTPC,HAL,BHEL,INDIAN OIL etc recruits engineer every year, Minimum criteria is 65% aggregate in your engineering. Some of the recruit through the GATE exam also.

>>IES:: indian engineering service, Though this you can entry through RAILWAY,CPWD, etc..


>>CSAT:: conducted by UPSC for the entry of IAS,IFS etc

Hello friend,
You have many job opportunities after b.tech under central government. Some are mentioned below:
1)Gate: It stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. Through this exam you can get a job in PSUs(Public Service Undertaking). These are government undertaking companies. These provide secure future and good money.

Eligibility: A candidate must have the degree of B.Tech/B.E with 65% marks from any recognized university/Institute. Candidates who are in final year are also eligible to apply the exam.

Age-Limit & No of attempts: A candidate must completed 21 years of his/her age. There is no limit to attempt the exam.

Preparation: There are many coaching institutes where you can prepare Gate exam but i suggested you prepare the exam by self study. Read those books which can elar your concept sharply. Do at-least previous five year quetion papers of the exam.

Companies under PSUs: you get job in BSNL (JTO), DRDO, BHEL, NTPC , APGENCO, APTRANSCO, SAIL etc.

2)Civil entrance exam: You can also apply for IES(INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE) conducted by UPSC every year. It is most prestigious job for engineers.

Eligibility: A candidate must have the degree of B.Tech/B.E with 60% marks from any recognized university/Institute. Candidates who are in final year are also eligible to apply IES exam.

Age-Limit: A candidate must completed 21 years of his/her age when he/she attempt the exam.
General category students can apply the exam up-to 30 years.
OBC category students can apply the exam up-to 33 years.
SC/ST students can apply the exam up-to 35 years.

No of attempts: General category students attempt the exam four times.
OBC category students attempt the exam seven times.
There is no limit for SC/ST students to attempt the exam.
