1.Qualifying exam: --You must hold bachelor's degree in biological science, engineering, mathematics or physical science from recognized university. -- you need to obtain any one of the following degrees from renowned institutes like IISC or IIT: Phd in Astrophysics Phd in Geophysics Phd in Metaphysics --After graduation you can appear for entrance exam which is held by NASA for the recruitment of scientists, Astronauts etc. --you may also find employement in ISRO. 2. Nationality: you should ne citizen of India 3.Age limits You should be atleast 21 years of age by the time you join.Age relaxation is there for SC/St candidates. All the Best..! |

Re: How to become an astronaut after passing 12th? How to reach your goal Step 1: You need to take up science after Class 10 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects. Step 2: Do your bachelors in either Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Aerospace Engineering Step 3: You have to achieve good grades in your undergraduate degree so that you can do your postgraduate and eventually a doctorate. Step 4: To be a mission specialist you also require 3 years of related and progressively responsible professional experience. Step 5: After graduation, you can appear for the entrance exam which is held by the NASA for the recruitment of Scientists and Astronauts. |

Tech from any recognized university. 4] The candidate who is appearing in final year can also apply for this exam. 5] The candidate must be completed his/ her 12th class with science stream from any recognized board. After passing 12th with Non-medical stream you have to qualify the entrance exam like:- > I.I.T-J.E.E > I.S.AT > A.I.E.E.E > S.R.M.E.E.E etc For Aeronautical engineering you have to qualify 12th with minimum 50% marks(For I.I.T minimum 60% marks) 5% relaxations given to S.T/SC candidate.
