Being a ECE student you are eligible for IES. For preparation startegy , rather than depending on extra books, follow some standard books for IES. Even you can crack it without coaching.

Books for IES (ECE) are:

## Network Analysis: Van Valkenburg
## Network and Systems: D. Roy Choudhary
## Integrated Electronics: Jacob Millman & C. Halkias, Millman & Grabel
## Integrated Circuits: K.R. Botkar
## Op. Amps & Linear Integrated Circuit: Gayakwad
## Digital Logic & Computer Design: Morris Mano
## Signals and System: Oppenheim, Willsky & Nacob
## Automatic Control System: Benjamin C. Kuo
## Control System Engineering: Nagrath & Gopal
## Principle of Communication System: Taub & Schilling
## Communication System: A. Bruce Carlson
## Electromagnetic Waves & Radiating Systems: Jardon & Balmain, JD Kraus

Other than these, also take postal coaching test series for preparation which can help you understand level of question to be asked and current pattern of exam. Also practice from previous years papers. Many question are repeated .
