For apply this post you must have graduation.

So, first you complete your +2 and Graduation

You must be an Indian.

And you must be graduated from the recognized college.

And your age between 21 and 30 ( relaxation for OBC and ST/SC will be given)

Re: Can I become an IAS/IPS officer after passing commerce but not interested in Maths? What should I choose between IP and Hindi?

Absolutely you can become IAS or IPS officer regardless of what subjects or course you have choosen. Please remember that to appear for the Civil Services Examination you need to have a graduation degree.

It is irrelevant that whether you have completed B.Tech, BCA, B.Com or BA. It is equally irrelevant regarding what subjects or stream you have choosen.

Therefore just relax and pick any subjects for 12th standard. If you are interested in Commerce, so be it. Same goes for Arts and Science. You are free to choose the subjects.

You simply focus on 12th with any subjects you like and follow it by any graduation course of your choice. After which you will be eligible to appear for the Civil Services Examination for Indian Police Service or Indian Administrative Service, whichever you like more.

Eligibility

1. Must be Indian national to appear for Civil Services.

2. Any valid graduation course will be enough.

3. No percentage requirement for graduation course.

4. Must be within the age limit of 21 to 30 years.

5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC.

6. And there is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST category candidates.

Exam Pattern

1. Preliminary Exam

2. Main Exam

3. Interview

Number of Attempts

1. Four attempts is all what General students get.

2. 7 attempts are given to OBC.

3. There is no limit for SC and ST.

After giving your class 10 exam you cannot sit for IAS exam.
The main eligibility criteria is to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

Age should be somewhere between 21-30 years.

General candidates can give the exam for four times only.

Go through the IAS exam pattern uploaded. This will give you a good idea about the subjects to study for this exam.

Good luck

Re: Can I become an IAS/IPS officer after passing commerce but not interested in Maths? What should I choose between IP and Hindi?

Yes, you can be an IAS/IPS officer after passing Commerce and not interested in Math, but for this you have to appear and crack Civil Sevice Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and for OBC candidate up to 3 years.

The selection is through three stages:-

CSAT-Civil Service Aptitude Test-Preliminary Exam

Civil Service Main Exam

Personal Interview

There is certain prescribed Physical standard for those applying for IPS which has to be maintained in order to be Physically Fit candidate.

dear friend'if you hate maths then you can go for arts as both science and commerce includes mathematics.,which you dislike.in arts also there are various career opportunities.you can go for civil services,or you can pursue a career in animation if you are good at computers.you can also pursue MBA which is good professional degree that will pay you enough.just complete your graduation and then you can go for masters of arts too.if you are inteersted in media, you can pursue mass communication after 10+2.
