1.IBPS CWE (PO/MT) for PSBs:-

-Age Limit: 20-30 Years
-Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification.

2.IBPS CWE (Officers) for RRBs


-Age Limit:
Officer Scale III - 21-40 yrs.
Officer Scale II - 21-32 yrs.
Officer Scale I - 18-28 yrs.
-Degree in any discipline for General Banking Officers (50% for Scale II &III) & Degree / PG in a relevant subject for Specialist Officers as given in the notification. Experience also required for some posts.

3.SBI/SBI Associate Banks PO

-Age Limit:21-30 years
-Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university / college

--> Clerks:
1.IBPS CWE (Clerks) for PSBs

-Age Limit: 20-28 years
-Degree in any discipline from a recognised university or any equivalent qualification

NOTE: (i) The relaxation in upper age limit to SC/ST/OBC candidates is allowed on cumulative basis

(ii) The maximum age limit specified is applicable to General Category candidates.
(iii) Candidates seeking age relaxation will be required to submit copies of necessary
certificate(s) at the time of Interview and at any subsequent stage of the recruitment process
as required by IBPS/ Participating Organisation(s).
(iv) In case of an Ex-servicemen who has once joined in a Govt. job on the civil side after availing
the benefits given to him as an Ex-servicemen for his re-employment, his Ex-servicemen status

III. Educational Qualifications:
Degree (Graduation) with 60% (55% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in any discipline from a recognized
University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Candidates belonging to SC / ST/ PWD categories filling in “unreserved” vacancies will not be
entitled to the relaxation of 5% marks mentioned above.
Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e.
candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have
studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High
School/College/Institute.
Note: (1) Candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in Graduation calculated to the
nearest two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded, the
same should be converted into percentage and indicate the same in online application.
(2) All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a recognized University /
Institution and the result should have been declared on or before 01.07.2013.
Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before
01.07.2013 has to be submitted at the time of interview. The date of passing the
examination which is reckoned for eligibility will be the date of passing appearing on the
marksheet/ Provisional certificate.

Both the exams are conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Services (IBPS) for 19 Public Sector Banks. The IBPS Clerk exam is conducted twice while Bank PO is only conducted once.

To appear for both the exams candidate must have graduation degree. There is no percentage criteria. IBPS Clerk is conducted in March and October while the IBPS Bank PO is conducted in June of every year.


IBPS Clerk Eligibility

1. Nationality: This exam is only for Indian citizens.

2. Education: A bachelor degree is required.

3. Education: You also need to have diploma or degree in Computers. Or Computers/IT should be subject in High School or college.

4. The age limit is 20 to 28 to appear for Clerk exam.


IBPS Bank PO Eligibility

1. Nationality: Bank Exams are are only open for Indian citizens.

2. Education: Any valid bachelor degree will be accepted by IBPS.

3. Marks: There is no minimum percentage requirement.

4. Age Limit: You should be between 20 to 30 years to apply.


Age Relaxation

1. For OBC there is 3 years relaxation.

2. SC/ST are given 5 years relaxation.

3. Person with Disability is eligible for upto 10 years relaxation.

This relaxation is eligible for both IBPS Clerk and Bank PO exams.

IBPS and SBI every year conduct examination for recruiting Bank Clerk and PO in various public sector banks.

You must the required qualification and age to become eligible for these examination.

First of all you must be an Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University and should be computer literate and must know basic operating of a computer.

The age limit for Clerical cadres is 18 to 28 for General category.

The age limit for PO is 21 to 30 years for General category.

Other categories get age relaxation which is as follows:

SC/ST Category - 5 years relaxation

OBC Category - 3 years relaxation

PWD Category - 10 years relaxation

Selection Procedure:

-Objective Type Paper

-Interview and Group Discussion

An eligibility varies with different banks. In IBPS for PO a candidates must be graduate with 50% marks from any recognized university. To apply for clerical post candidates must have graduate degree and computer‘s working knowledge is required. Candidates must have proficiency in the official language of the state U.P. for which vacancies are required to fill.

Bank clerk and PO exam in India is conducted by IBPS

IBPS stands for Institute of banking personal and selection

Under this more then 20 nationalized banks are offering recruitment

Some of the eligibility criteria for clerk and PO post are::

>>candidate should be of Indian origin

>>minimum age is 20 and maximum age is 28

>>Should be graduate from any recognized university

>>Should have attained minimum of 60% marks in 10th and 50% marks in 12th.

>>relaxation in age for OBC (in upper age lmit) is 3 years.

>>For sc/st age relaxation is 5 years.

Beside IBPS many nationalized bank conduct their own exam such as SBI conducts its own PO exam

Now a days there is a boom in recruiting sector and banks are expanding themselves to a huge extent that is why we have seen that there are lots of jobs coming in the banking sector but there is a query coming to the minds of the student about the eligibility criteria and qualification I have listed down the eligibility criteria and qualification needed to get qualified for the exam

Eligibility :-

1. The candidate must be a citizen of India
2. A graduation is a must for Probationary officer and 12th pass is enough for Clerk
3. candidate must be graduated from a recognized university
4. age limit is 20-28 years
5. Relaxation to those who belong to SC and ST
6.There is no subject bar and hence student from any stream can apply

The eligible candidate wishing for SBI Clerical exam must be an Indian Citizen having either completed 12th with 50% marks in any stream from a recognised Board or having completed Graduation in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 18 to 28 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

The eligible candidate wishing to apply for SBI/IBPS P.O. exam, must be an Indian national having completed Graduation in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

The candidate for all above exam should be a computer literate one.

The eligibility for Bank Clerk and PO posts are as follows:

The candidate needs to be a citizen of India

The age limit will be 20 years to 28 years.

The relaxation of age is eligible as per government rules

The candidate needs to complete or should be in the final year of the graduation.

The academic percentage should be a minimum of 60% and above.

You can apply for posts in IBPS, SBI and other competitive exams.

IBPS Conducts both the BANK PO and BANK clerks exams on behalf of 20 Nationalised banks in India.

Eligibilty to apply for these exams are as follows:

IBPS BANK CLERKS exams:

For attending IBPS CWE, the basic qualification required for bank clerk/P.O are graduation. SBI often consider 12th passed candidates with a minimum of 60% marks for clerical positions. Graduation is required for P.O positions. Also you must be in the age group of 21 to 30 years.
