Re: Can I be eligible for IBPS clerk exam if my age is 28 years?

The IBPS Clerk exam is conducted twice in a year. Firstly in March and second time in October. You should not be older than 28 years at the time to appear for the entrance exam.

However if you belong to OBC/SC/ST/PWD then you will get the relaxation in upper age limit to appear for the entrance exam.

However even if you are not eligible for the Bank Clerk there is nothing to be disappointed about. You can appear for IBPS Bank PO for which the criteria is 30 years to appear.

Good thing is that the educational criteria is same for both the exams. You will need graduation degree. Therefore even if you fail to apply for the IBPS Clerk due to age limit, you should seriously consider applying for the IBPS Bank PO entrance exam.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility

1. You should have graduation degree.

2. Diploma or degree in Computers.

3. You can also appear if studied Computers/IT subject in high school or college.

4. Age limit is 20 to 28 years for this exam.

IBPS Bank PO

1. Just like Clerk exam, graduation degree is required.

2. There is no percentage criteria.

3. Age limit is 20 to 30 years for this exam.

Age Relaxation

1. Upper age limit is relaxed in both exams by 3 years for OBC.

2. Similarly SC/ST are given relaxation of 5 years.

3. The relaxation is 10 years for Person with Disability.
