Dear Friend, Sorry to say but those candidates who have diploma in Civil Engineering or better say Diploma Holders are not considered Eligible for the IAS Entrance Exam. This is because the Union Public Service Commission has set Graduation in any stream as the minimum required educational qualification for the IAS Exam. Moreover , candidates who are in final year of graduation are also considered eligible for the exam. The Age Limit for the IAS Exam is : The IAS Entrance Exam is conducted as per the following pattern : So , if you are really interested in The IAS Entrance Exam , then you have to complete Graduation first then you can appear for the exam if fulfill the age criteria. this is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. No, Civil Engineering Diploma holder is not eligible for IAS, minimum academic qualification of Graduation in any stream is must to apply for IAS. To become an IAS officer, one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year. The eligible candidate must be an Indian national having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. Re: Is diploma in civil engineering student eligible for IAS entrance exam? No, diploma holders are not eligible for IAS. Graduation in any subject is mandatory to apply. You must have completed 21 years to apply. Upper age limit for IAS is 30 years. Try to pursue engineering degree after diploma and then try for IAS. |
