IBPS PO Exam Details:-

IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. They conducts the Common Written Examination on behalf of 20 public sector banks. By giving this examination you can get to work in nationalized banks in India for jobs of Probationary Officer.

This exam is conducted for twice a year. The validity of the score card is only one year. Though IBPS conducts the exam but the recruitment is done by the participating banks based on the vacancies available. They conducts the interview and group discussion part.

Eligibility:-

Nationality:-

You need to be a citizen of India.

Educational Qualification:-

You need to be a graduate in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university or a deemed university recognized as such by the Central Government.

Computer Literacy:-

You need to have the operating and working knowledge of computer systems, possessing a certificate / Diploma / Degree in computer operations/Language/ or you should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.

Local Language Proficiency:-

You need to be proficient in the local language of the State where you are applying.

Age Limit:-

Minimum Age Limit:- 20 years
Maximum Age Limit:- 30 years

Test Duration & Pattern:-

Total Marks:- 250 marks
Total Questions:- 250
Total Time:- 210 minutes

Stress on the following areas:-
  • Reasoning- 50 Questions- 50 Marks
  • English Language- 50 Questions- 25 Marks
  • Quantitative Aptitude- 50 Questions- 50 Marks

Yes,you will be Eligible to Appear in IBPS PO Exam,as because you have scored above 60% in your Engineering.

In order to appear in you will require the following Eligibility:-

Anyone who has a graduation degree can apply for the IBPS Bank PO entrance exam. The percentage scored in 10th, 12th and graduation are not considered for IBPS Bank PO. Therefore apply for the exam without any fear.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Services conduct Bank PO exam for 19 Public Sector banks in the country. Public sector banks are the ones that are controlled by the government of India. Here is the list of these banks.

hi friend,


candidate should be a graduate or equivalent. The same should be in any stream from a recognized university with a minimum requisite of 65% average mark for general category 60% for other classes is a must.

Age Limit : 21-30 years for general category.



Exam Pattern:



Phase I:
  • Objective Test of English Language, General Awareness, Data analysis and interpretation, Reasoning (200 Marks)
  • Descriptive test of English Language (comprehension, small outline, article and letter writing) 50 Marks
Phase II:
  • Group Discussion 20 Marks
  • Group Discussion (Rural) 10 Marks
  • Interview 30 Marks
  • Experience 10 Marks
  • The exam will be conducted in various centers in almost all parts of India.

Yes, you are eligible for IBPS Bank P.O.(Probationary Officer) exam as you have completed Graduation in Engineering.

IBPS - Institute of Banking Personal Selection conducts Bank Clerical and P.O. exam for 19 Public Sector Banks from time to time as per their requirment.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation Degree in any stream of Education from a recognised University within the age of 20 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good command over computer operation.

The BANK PO post selection is done via IBPS Exam.

Eligibility Criteria :
  • Candidate must have completed graduation degree.
  • Percentage is not important here but it should be greater.
  • Candidate age must be in between 21 to 30 years.


As you are from Engineering field you can apply for BANK PO.

Selection procedure is done in two stages
  • Written Test
  • Personal Interview

Written test is Descriptive so you should prepare well.
Personal Interview is done after Written Test.Interview is simple and judges ask the reasoning questions.

You should have ability of :
  • Reasoning
  • English Language
  • Computer Knowledge
  • General Awareness
  • Quantitative Aptitude

Bank PO is one of the exams conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). The IBPS is more than 40 years old organizaton responsible for conducting several exams for jobs in Public sector banks in India. Coming to written test and this test containing the objective type questions with 4 multiple choices answers and here question paper is divided in 5 sections each section containing the 50 questions and 50 marks and here each question carry 1 mark and 0.25 marks reduced for wrong answers.

After qualifying the written test called for interview.

IBPS exam is conduct for BANK PO Post for 17 private banks .

Only those candidate have completed graduation degree are eligible for BANK PO exam.There are no percentage criteria for IBPS PO exam.

Also all candidate age must be in between 21 to 30 years.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

Yes , You are applicable for IBPS PO exam.Because you have already completed of your graduation degree .B-Tech and BE degree holder candidate are applicable for IBPS PO Exam.
