Re: Is Maths needed to get admission for BCA?

the general criteria for applying for BCA course is that you have must completed your higher secondary (+2) examination or equivalent(diploma degree) with minimum 50% marks in total and also having mathematics as subject in the qualifying examination..but in some states and in universities maths is not considered and %age required is also less.....so it all depend upon in wich state you live ..
the site given below.there are some of the colleges and universities along with qualification needed with states ...you can go through your state and check it...

Re: Is Maths needed to get admission for BCA?

No,
you can't apply for BAC course.for BCA course you have to passed 12th with physics, chemistry and Maths as compulsary subjects.some colleges also have English subject as compulsary.

you are commerce student and you don't have physics, chemistry and maths subjects so you are not eligible for BCA.

Eligibility criteria for BCA-
-you should have minimum educational qualification of class XII from some recognised university.
you should have complete 10+2 with minimum 50% marks. Most of the colleges require mathematics, physics, and chemistry in class XII.
