Re: How to pursue Ph.D from CMJ university Meghalaya? Is it recognized by AICTE? Dear friend CJM University recognized by UGC. The CMJ University was founded in 2009 by state government of Meghalaya under the section of 2F of UGC Act 1956. According to law, the university does not approval to AICTE . According to educational law, The CMJ University does not need to any approval by AICTE, only those institutions which are affiliated to university need approval. As the well established university recognized by state government act, it doesn't oblige for AICTE approval. The myth also spread out that university which is not approved by this technical council, the courses offered by this university is not valid. But it is not true. The people can check section (IV) of public notice of AICTE which clearly affirms the university does not require prior approval from AICTE to start any new department of course and programmes in technical education. Since several students registered and carry out the work on research , the master degrees etc egnuinely from CMJ university , after goirng throught the letters send from the UGC, as per the provision of the RTI act, etc, the students suddenly put in dilemma and so many committing suicide as the governor of Meghalaya decided to dissolve, we the students demand the answer and also justice since we have done genuinely for three yeasr our rsearch work leading to phd work sinnce several students fate, their life etc under threat will the chancellor, the governor look in this matter and consder the students there may be one or two frauds punish them and all unniversitieies, s in India have the lucane not only the CMJ, there are several issues even in old unviersities the grea Governor has to modiefy and rectifty the probelm and it should not effect the studetns show hve genuinely obtained the degrees since it is the questions of life and death who have opting for justice, since three years the UGC recognised it and suddenly take such hasty decions will be leading to the suicide of the thoursands of students , let the governor and his grandchildren have tis problem and the unniversity officials whoa re corrupt let them be hanged not all the deciciosn and all students should not be punished, |
