Re: Can I do M.Tech after selecting IES? is it better to become an ies(engineering services) officer with just having b.tech qualification or also with m.tech qualification ? ,i have just finished my b.tech in civil engineering. i am actually expecting an reply with respect to salary and with respect to safety for our future . . .thank you :) |

IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year. If you have completed Engineering courses in some special department then you are applicable for IES exam OR If you have completed M.sc degree equivalent with wireless communication, electronics, radio physics or radio engineering are applicable for IES . Those candidate have completed BE or B-Tech degree with below given department are applicable for IES exam- 1.Civil Engineering 2.Electrical Engineering 3.Mechanical engineering. 4.Electronics and Communication Engineering. Final year student also eligible for IES exam . ### If your M.Sc Degree in above stream or if have BE /B-TECH degree in above stream then you are applicable for IES exam otherwise not. The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate. SC/ST ==> 5 years . OBC ==> 3 years . PWD ==> 10 years . Ex-Servicemen ==> 5 years .
