In CDS there are 4 wings for which exam is conducted and they are:

>> IMA - Graduation Pass in any Stream
>> OTA- Graduation Pass in any Stream
>> AIRFORCE- Graduation Pass with Phy and Maths as subjects in class 12th or BE/BTECH
>> NAVY - BE/BTECH

Age:
NAVY - Between 19- 22 years
AIR FORCE - Between 19- 23 years
IMA- Between 19- 24 years
OTA Between 19- 25 years

Only MALE candidates can apply
FEMALE candidates are allowed to apply for the OTA wing only

There are four wings of Defence Service for which you can apply through CDSE Exam.These are as follows :

Indian Military Academy.
Indian Air-Force Academy.
Indian Naval Academy.
Officers Training Academy.

Eligibility requirements details

Educational qualification for Indian Naval Academy/Indian Air-Force Academy :

Candidates minimum educational qualification should be bachelor degree pass out with science stream.
Your Honors Paper in bachelor degree course should be Mathematics/Physics.

Educational qualification for Indian Military Academy/Officers Traing Academy :

Candidates should have a bachelor degree from recognized university.
Candidates bachelor degree should be from any stream.

Age Requirements details

For Indian Military Academy :

Your minimum age should be 19 years.
Your age should not be above 24 years.

For Indian Air-Force Academy :

Your minimum age should be 19 years.
Your age should not be above 23 years.

For Naval Academy :

Your minimum age should be 19 years.
Your age should not be above 22 years.

For Officers Training Academy :

Your minimum age should be 19 years.
Your age should not be above 25 years.

CDS Wings following Services / Academies :

Indian Military Academy

Officers Training Academy

Indian Navy Academy

Indian Air Force Academmy

Eligibility :

Nationality : Candidates must be citizen of India (OR) subject of Bhutan / Nepal / Tibetan

Indian Military & Officers Training Academy :

Degree from a recognized university

Indian Navy Academy :

Degree in B.Sc Physics & Mathematics (OR) Degree in Engineering

Indian Air Force Academy :

Degree from a recognized University & 12th stands with Physics & Mathematics (OR) Bachelor Engineering

Age Limit :

Indian Military Academy : not more then 24 years & not less then 19 years

Officers Training Academy : not more then 25 years & not less then 19 years

Indian Navy Academy : not more then 22 years & not less then 19 years

Indian Air Force Academy : not more then 23 years & not less then 19 years

Selection Process :

Written Test

SSB Interview

Medical Test

Hai,

CDSE stands for Combined Defence Service Examination.

CDS exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) two times in a year.

Eligibility criteria:-

For Indian Military and Officers Training Academy:-
The candidate should be complete bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university.

For Indian Navy and Airforce:

The candidate should be complete graduation in engineering or b.sc with mathematics and physics subjects from a recognised university.

You must be physically fit and must be a citizen of India.

Male and female both are eligible for this exam.

No need of percentage restrictions.

Age criteria:-

Indian military academy--> 19 years to 24 years,

Indian naval academy--> 19 years to 22 years,

Indian Airforce academy--> 19 years to 23 years,

Officers training academy--> 19 years to 25 years.

No upper age relaxation.

Selection procedure:-

Written exam,

Personal interview,

Medical test.

Total 300 Marks

(b) For Officers’ Training Academy

1. English (Objective type) 100 Marks
2. General Knowledge (Objective type) 100 Marks

Total 200 Marks

Marks for SSB Interviews
IMA, NA and AFA 300 marks
OTA 200 Marks
