NIT stands for Natioanl Institute of Technology. There are almost 25 NITs in India at present and they are considered as top engineering colleges of our country. The admission in NIT is based on AIEEE rank and you will have to secure very goood rank in AIEEE to get admission in any NIT. You have mentioned that your score in AIEEE is 40,so your rank must be more than 4 lakhs. With this rank,there is no chance of getting any NIT. Moreover,you won't be able to get any government college with this rank. So,there are two options for you-either you can opt for a private college which directly admit students based on 12th marks or you can prepare one more year for entrance tests. The decision depends on you-If you have decided to take admission this time only to save one year time,then you should take admission in a private college. But as per my advice,you can go for one year preparation and perform better next time to get admission in a good college. Thanks. With regards- Vikas. |
