There is no requirement of Marks obtained in class 10, 12 or in graduation.


The only requirement is that you must be a graduate in engineering.

Educational Qualifications :


Degree in Engineering or equivalent. M.Sc Degree or its equivalent with Wireless


Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special

subject also acceptable for certain posts.


Age Limit is 21-30 years.

if you have minimum of 60% marks throughout your career then you will be eligible to most of the examination or you can apply for job in most of the company.

but there are some company which demand 65% or 70% marks throughout the career to join in their company. also few company there to join there you do not need 60% marks.

but minimum of 60% marks is sufficient to appear in most of the Indian engineering services. but you should always try to get more marks.

Eligibility Criteria for IES:

Yes , electronics department are eligible for IES exam.

Age limit:*

Age must be more than 21 years and less than 30 years. The upper age relaxation for SC, ST, Government servants is 5 years; for OBC is 3 years and for physically challenged is 10 years.

Educational qualification:*

IES is eligible for given below department of engineering.

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Nationality:*

The applicant must be citizen of India, subject of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugee, Indian origin who have migrated from selected countries in order to settle in India permanently.

Attempts:

For General - 4 times
For SC/ST - No limit
For OBC - 7 tines

there is no minimum percentage to be obtained in engineering for IES examination.the thing is you should be a graduate from that branch of engineering only.the minimum age should be 21years (completed).

Indian Engineering Services (IES) exam is conducted by UPSC. For appearing in IAS exam the candidate should have pass graduation from any recognize University.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA::--

(1)Age limit:-

The minimum age for the IES exam is 21 years and maximum age is 30 years.

(2) Educational Qualifications:-

Applicable for the engineering graduates who have already completed or who are in last year with minimum of 60% but last year students are required to produce the proof of passing engineering degree. You also need to have 60% in 10th and 12th standards.

ya you are absolutely eligible for the IES exam if you are doing B tech from the Information Technology branch but then you saould have minimum of the 60% of the marks in Btech

Hi

If a candidate having degree of engineering are eligible to apply for the Indian Engineering Services. There is no percentage criteria required for the IES exam.

So no need to worry about the percentage for IES exam. As according to UPSC eligibility criteria if a candidate is in final year or having degree of engineering are eligible to apply for the IES exam.

The detailed eligibility criteria for IES exam is given below:

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:
Candidate having degree in Engineering from a recognised University are eligible for IES exam.

Candidates having M.Sc Degree in Wireless Communications, Electronics,
Radio Physics or Radio Engineering are also eligible to apply for
the IES exam.

AGE LIMIT:
The minimum age for the IES exam is 21 years and maximum age is 30 years.

Candidates who appeared in the final year exam are also eligible
to apply for the IES exam.

four subjects are there:

Civil

Electronics and Telecommunication

Electrical

Mechanical

but any engineering student from any stream can apply for IES....

i think last date submission already over.there is no minimum marks for the indian

Engineering Examination and you have a Engineering degree in recognized

university.the age limits is 21 - 30 years.And final years also eligible for the

engineering examination.

yes you are totally eligible after finishing your b.tech degree....
the criteria is a graduation degree in any field of engineering from any recognized university.

To Appear In IES Exams Then You Must be a Graduate in Engineering From a Recognized University. There is No Minimum Marks You Want to Scored in Your Graduation, If You Have Cleared Passed In Your Graduation Then You Can Apply for IES Exams.

And The Final Year Students Can Also Appear in IES Exam. So, If Your Age Is between 21Years to 30 Years, Then You Are Eligible to Appear The IES Exams.


IES Exam 2011 Important dates-


Date of Notification - 25th December, 2010.

Last date for receipt of IES 2011 forms - 24/Jan/2011.

Date of IES 2011 exam - 14/05/2011.

IES entrance test or Indian Engineering Services entrance exam is designed for recruitment of engineers in government services.

IES Exam Eligibility Criteria:-
1) Age Limit:- 21-30 years on the first day of august of the year of examination.
2) Educational Qualifications:-

You have need only 60 % for appearing IES,beside this you can also apply for airforce EKT,Indian Army,DRDO and many more privet sectors.Most of the students from ELECTRONICS AND TELE-COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING stream go for software jobs.
