hello friend,

If you want to make a career in Architect then
you can give the paper of Engineering exam like AIEEE, IIT's etc.
For this exam you should have 12th degree with PCM group.
Then you will get this field on the basis of your scoring.
good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: How to become an Architect after passing 10th?

hi friend,

Well sorry to say but after class 10th you can not become an architecture but do not worry after class 10th you will have to take first step towards architecture after selecting the right streams which will help you to become an architecture.

To become architecture you should choose science streams with Physics ,Maths and Chemistry as a subjects .If you will choose any other streams or even Biology other then Maths then you will not be able to pursue the architecture course after class 12th. You can become an Architecture only after passing class 12th .

You will have to appear for the AIEEE examination which is conducted for engineering as well for the Architecture students. There are only 1070 seats for B.Arch/B.Planning through AIEEE examination other then this you can also appear for other state entrance exams and also the University entrance examination.

AIEEE examination details ::

Mode of Examination: There are two mode of examination

Online Examination (Computer Based Test)
Offline Examination (Pen & Paper mode) as conducted earlier

This time you can fill the application form 'Online' only.

Pattern of the examination :

PAPER 1: its for Engineering and B. arch students .who want to do BTECH .Its a
Objective Type papers with negative marking

Physics
Chemistry
Mathematics

Paper 2::For B.arch students only

Mathematics - Part I
Aptitude Test - Part II
Drawing Test - Part III

Eligibility for AIEEE:

You must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks for general category candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PH category candidates.

You can apply for AIEEE examination.
NATA::

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is for those students who wants to become Architecture.

>>The examination is done for the admission in the best colleges including government college in the nation .

The examination is done to test the following skill in students ::

Drawing and observation skills
Sense of proportion
Aesthetic sensitivity
Critical thinking ability

NATA is done in two mode you can apply for the any one of them that are::

For Architecture you have to pass 10+2 with maths as one of the subject. After passing 10+2 with maths you will be eligible to apply for entrance examination for getting admission into B.Arch course which is of 5 years duration.

You must ensure that you have got 50% marks in 10+2 then only you will be eligible for the entrance examination. The entrance examination will have objective type questions related to maths and other architecture related subjects.

The entrance exam which are conducted for this course are JEE and NATA. Age should be above 17 years for this entrance examination. The upper age limit is 25 years.

If you perform well in the entrance exam then you will be eligible for admission into top Architecture colleges of your choice through counselling.

Exam Pattern for Architecture Entrance:

There will be two sections in the exam.

-Paper based drawing test

-Aesthetic Sensitivity Test which is a Computer based test

There will be gap of 10 minutes between two sections. Also there will be no negative mark.

Hi,

Architecture is a good course, if you have interest in drawings.

If you wish to do architecture course then, you should choose Maths as one of the subjects in 12th.

For getting admission in Architecture course which is B.Arch., you will have to qualify entrance exam. The entrance exam for B.Arch. is known as NATA.

NATA – National Aptitude Test in Architecture

Eligibility for NATA ~~

You should have passed 10+2 with Maths , with 50% minimum aggregate marks, from a recognised board.

So, keeping the qualification required for NATA, you should choose Maths and try to get good percentage also.

There are many good colleges in India for B.Arch course. Some of these are --

University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering

M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology

NMIMS University

Apeejay Institute of Technology

Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture and Environmental Studies

Sunder Deep group of institutions

School of Planning and Architecture
