Re: Can I directly do B.Tech after passing 12th? You have to appear for entrance examination for getting admission into B.Tech course after 12th standard. You must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Maths in 10+2 then only you will become eligible for Engineering Graduation. The All Indian Level Engineering Entrance exam is known as JEE which is conducted by IITs for admission into various Engineering colleges around the country. You have to get a top rank for getting admission into a top level Institution. Also in JEE the marks of your 12th class will be counted in final selection. Hence if you have got good marks in 12th then you stands chance to get a top college provided you have performed well in the JEE. The entrance examination will have objective type questions related to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Also there will be negative mark for every wrong answer. You have to attempt only those which you are sure otherwise you will lose marks. For more information visit http://www.jeemain.nic.in |

you can surely do B. Tech immediately after 12th. Eligibility criteria for the same is :- Education :- 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects. Age limit :- 17 years. You can also give entrance tests like :- AIEEE - Educational eligibility - 50% aggregate in PCM and 50% alone in Mathematics. IIT - educational eligibility - 60% aggregate in PCM. State JEEs |

Basically you will not be able to take admission in Engineering courses in any Government Engineering colleges/Institutes.If you want to take admission in Government Engineering colleges such as in IIT's or NIT's you will have to apply and get the pass with the specified rank to take admission in these Engineering colleges. However there is 15% seats reservation for Management Quota in most of the Reputed Engineering Colleges of India. Thus if you have any ways so that you can use this medium of Admission then you will have to consult that Engineering college for Admission through Management Quota. I will suggest to apply for Central Level Engineering Entrance Test.the benefit of this entrance test will be that you can take admission in any Engineering colleges of Indian based on the ranking which you will be scored in this exam. So you should apply fore Joint Engineering Entrance Test.To apply for this entrance test you will required to meet these Eligibility conditions : Educational qualification :-

Re: Can I directly do B.Tech after passing 12th? B.Tech. stands for Bachelor of Technology which can be pursed after 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognied Board with or without percentage of marks criteria in 12th within the age of 17 to 25 years. Hence after passing or in the final year of 12th exam, the candidate aspiring for B.Tech. in reputed Institutions like IIT, NIT etc. should appear entrance exam and on the basis of scoring and rank he/she will be admitted to B.Tech. courses in respective Engineering Colleges. |
