Is it mandatory to clear all intermediate papers in one slot or we can do in two terms (i.e. Intermediate I in June month and Intermediate II in Dec month)?
I already paid my fee but to appear in exam i need to pay any extra money ?

Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India offers ICWA course which is carried out in 3 stages namely the foundation, intermediate and the finals. A plus two pass out has the option to do the foundation level of this program. In foundation level admission a candidate is require to have 10 2 certificate from any recognized university and Board and it has almost similar syllabus like B.com first year and based on 10 2.

To get admission in Intermeditae level a candidate require to have a bachelor degree in any manner. As you want to get admission in intermediate you are require to go to any regional centre of ICWAI buy a prospectus and form and submitted it with demand draft and necessarily documents

(b) Students can also download theExamination Form from ICWAI Website at www.icwai.org.In caseof downloaded form `50/- should be added extra towards the cost ofthe form.
(c) Students can also submit the form online.
2. Last date for receipt of Examination Application Forms without late fees is 10th April, 2012 and with late fees of `300/- is20th April, 2012.

Eligibility for ICWAI foundation course

The plus two pass outs can apply for the foundation course if they have obtained the qualification from any recognized board. 17 years is the minimum age requirement to apply for this program. The students who are waiting for the results can also apply for this program.

Application procedure for the ICWAI course after 12th

The exams will be conducted twice in a year usually in the months of June and December. The students can submit their applications offline. They need to attach relevant documents and certificates as specified in the brochure along with the application. The fees details will be mentioned in the brochure which is available in the official website. Three recent photographs have to be pasted on the form. The students should make sure that the completed form reaches the specified address before the last date mentioned.

Preparing for the ICWAI foundation course

The students should start preparing for the course after completing their plus two exams. They should get an idea about the portions to be covered in the preparation before making up a study plan. There is no admission direct in final stage in ICWAI.

The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) which was established in 1959. The job of Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India is to develop the cost and management profession in India. It offers 2 courses at the present:

ICWA

CS

Both these courses belong to commerce stream students. ICWA and CS are Honorable courses. Below are the details if you are interested in joining any of the two courses offered by the Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of India (ICWAI).

Institute of Costs and Works Accountants Course (ICWA)

The Institute of Costs and Works Accountants Course (ICWA) has been divided into three parts:

1 Foundation Course

To be eligible for the Foundation course, candidate is required to be 12th pass from any recognised board.

Final year students may also appear in the exam.

Your age should be at least 17 years.



2 Intermediate Course

You must have bachelor's degree from any recognised university in India.

Candidates in the final year of graduation course may also apply.

Your age should be at least 18 years.



3 Final Course

To appear in Final course, all candidates are required to have completed the Intermediate course.

CS ( Company Secretary Course )

Similar to ICWA, the CS course is also divided into 3 stages. CS course is related to company laws, economic laws etc. Company Secretary is a very senior managerial position that exists in private and Public Sector undertakings in India. The job of CS is to ensure smooth running of the company, in accordance with the rules of Central government and the state government. CS is also responsible for implementing every decision taken by the board of directors.

The three stages of CS course are:

Foundation

Executive

Professional

CS is a 2 year course however candidates who have passed the ICWA may compelte it in 1 year.

The educational eligibility for CS is 10+2 from any recognised board in India.
