Hi,

Sorry to say that you are not eligible for MCA, as you have done B.Com. in computer application and also you did not study Maths in intermediate.

You should know that to apply for MCA entrance exam, you should satisfy any of these educational criteria -

You should have bachelors degree with maths as a subject ,from a recognised university.

OR

You should have studied mathematics in class 12th.

Since you do not satisfy any of these condition, and you did not study maths in intermediate as well as graduation, so you cannot apply for MCA.

There are some other options that you can choose, if you want to get into software field.

You can do MBA in Information Technology.

MBA can be done by qualifying a central or state conducted entrance exam.

Some of the entrance exam for MBA are MAT, CAT, SNAP, UPCAT, etc.

For MBA you need to be a graduate only. There is no specific subject requirement also.

So, you can do MBA in IT and do higher studies in computer studies.

Hai friend
You are not eligible to do MCA course because it requires the mathematics as a main subject,so if you have not studied mathematics in 12th or graduation you will not be able to write the exam. But you can for MBA course without mathematics subject.
Thank You

Yeah yes a graduation completed candidate can be eligible for the MCA(Master of Computer Applications) but the candidate must have to complete 12th standard with mathematics is one of the subject.

If you are fulfilled the above criteria then you are eligible for the MCA.

Before going to this you have to write entrance exams some of them are given below:

Re: How to do MCA after doing B.Com computer application?

To the best of my knowledge, you are not eligible to join MCA course.

Because, in order to be eligible to join MCA course, one should have Mathematics as one of the subject either in 10+2 or in Graduation.

But you have not had that in both the academic levels.

In that you are not eligible to give the respective Entrance Exam also.

As you are having interest to get into software field, one thing I can suggest you is,

Opt for MBA course which does not need Mathematics in your previous academic levels with the following specializations
MBA in Systems Management
MBA in Information Technology

As these are software related specializations, you can get jobs in software companies after completion of MBA with the above mentioned specializations.

Here is the eligibility criteria to join MBA course.

You should have completed Graduation with any of the stream with minimum 50% of marks.
Relaxation is there in percentage of marks upto 5% for the candidates from SC or ST category
There is no upper age limit to join this course.

The admission for this course will be given on the basis of performance in the Entrance Exams like

CAT
MAT
GMAT
SNAP
XAT etc.

All these are national wide entrance exams that give admission for MBA course.

Have good preparation for any of these Entrance Exams and get admission for MBA course in a top college.

Make sure that you are going to join MBA course in a college where your chosen specialization is being available.

Otherwise, you will be in big trobule and there is no use of joining MBA course.
