Hello Tejaswi

Crime Investigation Department is one of the best Departments in India.

Yes you can become a CID Officer but for that first you complete degree in any discipline from any recognized university.

And also by the time you write the Staff Selection Commission examination which conducts written examination for candidates who wants to become CID officers then you need to have height of 150 cms for females and also you need to meet other physical conditions which will be prescribed clearly in the notification clearly.

After writing the written examination in first stage then you need to write another written test then you need to get qualified in that also then you need to prove yourself in the Physical Efficiency Test and after clearing all the above stages then you will have Personal Interview.Basing on your performance you can get the job.

Re: What is the qualification to become a CID officer?

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is nothing but a specalised police officers of State or Central police departments which operates behind the curtains for secret investigations. Investigation may involve criminal activities or judicial investigations. CID are further divided into several branches different ranks as of police department.

The procedure to join CID is nothing different from the process to join Police department. You can appear for Civil Service Examinations after completing your graduation.
