I completed b.tech and willing in civil service exams.i was hearing impaired candidate having disability of 41% and hearing loss of (right ear-55db, left ear-65db).can i was eligible for applying civil service exam under PH-HH category.

HI!
Yes Handicapped candidate is eligible for Civil services exam.
There is reservation for Handicapped Candidate.

Civil Services exam exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.
Qualification:- Pass graduation with any stream from recognized university.

Age limit:-
For Open category:- 21-30 year
For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR
For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

Number of Attempts:-
For open category:- 4 attempts
For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts

Dear Friend,

Sorry to say but you are not eligible for the IAS Exam if you are physically challenged.

This is because the Union Public Service Commission has set the eligibility criteria that only those can apply who are physically and mentally fit.

This is also because the IAS Exam is better known as the Civil Services Exam and this is a single exam for selection of candidates as IAS Officers / IPS Officers / Treasury Officers.

This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.

PH Candidates can apply for this exam and they are eligible for IAS also...

Name of the Service ; IAS


Categories for which identified :(i) Locomotor disability,(ii) Visual impairment, (iii) Hearing impairment

*Functional Classification: for ortho ;BA, OL, OA, BH, MW, for VH = PB, for Deaf = PD

Physical requirements: S, ST,W, SE, H, RWT


disabled persons are also eligible for most of the services except IPS ( see note II of 2011 notification)


Details of classificartion :

Physical Requirement

S = Work Performed by Sitting (onbench or chair)
ST = Work Performed by Standing
W = Work Performed by Walking
SE = Work Performed by Seeing
H = Work Performed by Hearing/Speaking
RW= Work Performed by Reading and Writing

Functional Classification

BA = Both arms affected a. Impaired Reach b. Weakness of Grip. c. ataxic
OL = One leg affected (R or L) a. impaired reach b. weakness of grip c. ataxic
OA = One arm affected (R or L) a. impaired reach b. weakness of grip c. ataxic
BH =
MW = Muscular weakness.

of course, you can appear in this exam after completion of your graduation in any stream you7 must have to show your certificate of physically challenged candidate.
The allotment to a particular service may depend on your present disability.
You should refer the Civil Services examination advertisement for details in this
regard. The kind of disability not accepted in a particular service of civil services
is listed there. Also percentage of disability is accounted for the same..

(i) Age limits :


21-30 years as on 1.7.2011. (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories)

(ii) Educational Qualifications :


Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification

No, my friend physical handicapped students are not eligible for IAS exam..

The candidate must be physically fit..

Beside this you have to fulfill some eligibility criteria..

Eligibility criteria for IAS exam:-

1.The candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade from a recognized university.
2.The candidates age should be in between 21-30 years.
For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years.

These are the eligibility criteria to appear in IAS exam..

union public service commission conducts the exam for IAS
for which the eligibility criteria is;

qualification

- a candidate should be graduate from any recognized university
-a candidate as an appearing can also apply for the exam

age limit

-a candidate's age should be between 21-30 for general
-for OBC upper age limit is 33 years
-for SC/ST candidate upper age limit is 35 years

number of attempts

-for general-4 attempts
-for OBC- 7 attempts
-for SC/ST- no limits

physical requirement

-there is no any physical requirement for IAS exam,
physical requirement is only needed in IPS exam

but civil service refer only to some percentage regarding upon on disability.
so just check your disability and after you are eligible for exam.
civil service also refer to particular disability for post also.
