Hello friend

Eligibility for CBI :
All the candidates must be Indian citizens
All the candidates must complete degree from a recognised university by the central government
The age limit is 20 - 27 years
The maximum age limit for OBC candidates is 33 years
The maximum age limit for SC, ST is 35 years

CBI stands for the Central Bureau of Investigation


This exam is being conducted by Staff Selection Commission every year....

This exam is conducted in the Three Tier:
  1. Tier-I = 200 Marks
  2. Tier-II = 400 Marks
  3. Tier-III = 100 marks
## Tier-I and Tier-II of Written exam were the tier-III of the Interview Section......

Written Exam Consist:-
  1. General Intelligence
  2. General Awareness
  3. English Comprehension
  4. Reasoning

Educational Qualification:-

## A candidate who have passed out their Graduation degree in any Discipline can apply for this examination....

## While Pursuing Final Year of Graduation also apply for the same....

Age Criteria:-
  • Minimum age should be at at least 20 years.
  • Maximum age should not exists 27 years.

Relaxation on age:-
  • Relaxation for OBC category on upper age is 3 years provided.
  • For SC/ST it is up to 5 years.

Some Physical Requirement:-

## Height of candidate at least 160 Cm...

## Chest Expansion minimum 5 Cm...

## Eyesight should be 6/6....

CBI Stands for Central Bureau of Investigation

This exam is Conducted by Staff Selection Commission every year.

This exam is conducted in the Three Tier: Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III you must have to Qualify in all the teir exam.

The application forms and other particulars are published in the Employment News in the month of October.

Tier-I consist 200 Marks,

Tier-II consists 400 Marks and Tier-III

Consists 100 marks for the Interview


Age Limit

Minimum 20 and Maximum 27 years

Maximum relaxation for OBC category on upper age is 3 years

For SC/ST it is up to 5 years.



Education Qualification

You have completed graduation from any recognized university.


Physical Standard

Height of candidate at least 160Cm.

Chest Expansion minimum 5 Cm.

Eyesight should be 6/6.

i am shailendra thakur i want to know wheather a candidate having 50 - 55% of marks from any stream and he had completed his education in maharastra but having domicile of Uttar pradesh.
my question: from which state should he apply?

sir i cant understand vision standard it is written eye sight with or without glass 6/6 in one and 6/9 in other . does it mean a person having low vision but with glass his eye sight is 6/6 is eligible for the post ?

Hello friend,
To join the CBI department, you will need to appear for Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam, conducted by the Staff selection commission every year.
The educational qualification required for the exam is graduate in any discipline.The minimum eligible age, for the same is 20 years whereas, the maximum age limit is 27 years with relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

The examination comprises of two papers.
1. General intelligence & awareness
2. Arithmetic

The preliminary exam is is followed by the Main exam.

The Main exam comprise of
English language, Comprehension, Communication skill and writing ability ,Arithmetic and
General studies.

The application form is published in all the leading newspapers along with the "Employement News".

CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) Eligibility Criteria:-


To join CBI you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.

QUALIFICATION: The minimum Qualification needed to sit in this exam is to be Graduate enough in any Discipline.

AGE: You should be in between 20 to 27 years of Age. & special Relaxation is given to SC/ST which is 5 years and For OBC 3 years.

Hello Muthamil,

To apply for the exam conducted for the recruitment of CBI inspectors, the candidate must have a graduation degree from a recognized university.

The exam is conducted by the UPSC every year and the notification are published in the employment news articles or in the daily newspapers.

The exam consists of two sections: written and personal interview. The written exam is objective type based. if you can crack this you are called for the interview.

CBI exam:

***Age:

20-25 years as on 1st January of the year of examination. The upper age limit may be relaxed in respect of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and such other categories of persons as may from time to time be notified in this behalf by the Government of India to the extent and subject to the conditions notified in respect of each category.

Educational Qualifications:

Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.

Plan of the Examination:

The examination wills consists Old Pattern Exam. of two parts:

Part I

Written Examination carrying: 400 marks

Part II

Personality Test (Interview): 100 marks.

Examination Subjects:

The subjects of the written examination, the maximum marks and time allowed for each subject will be as given below:
