Yes you can apply for banking exams

You can apply for the BANK PO in the Government banks
You can also apply for Specialist Officers as IT officer scale 1 in banks

For the Banks in the Government sector exams for the Post of PO and Clerks are conducted by:
IBPS (www.ibps.in) on behalf of 20 Nationalised banks
SBI conducts its own exams


Eligibilty for the IBPS PO exams:
Graduation Pass
Age should be between 20 and 30 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations



Eligibilty for the SBI BANK PO exams:
Min educational qualifications is Graduation Pass
Age should be between 21 and 30 years


Eligibity to apply for the IBPS Specialist Officers Exams- IT Officer Scale 1 is:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics and Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation

Age should be between 20 and 35 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

Bachelor's degree is enough to apply for banking sector jobs. Graduates in any stream can apply for clerk or P.O jobs. Being an engineering graduate, you can apply for the profile of 'Specialist Officer'. IT Officer job profile can be opted, if completed B.Tecin IT/CSE. Upper age limit to apply is 30 years.

hi i am a b.tech graduate.. i finished by 2010 and currently doing my m.tech regular.shall i try to do banking exams..and is there any particular desgniation for b.tech?...pls any one help me...

Hello friend,
You can definetly try for Banking sector as you are from Engineering stream. Well specialist officer's in banking is the special designation for engineering graduates. you dint mention your branch in b-tech, so its bit difficult to analyze but for example if you have done your b-tech in computers then you can apply for I.T specialist officer's post.

hi i am a b.tech graduate.. i finished by 2007 and currently doing my m.tech part time..shall i try to do banking exams..and is there any particular desgniation for b.tech?...pls any one help me...
