Re: Am i eligible for OTA Chennai if I have a cataract in one eye and vision of 6/18 i am a 17 year old girl who has very good height and fit body. i am taking my martial art classes and i know swimming. i have myopia. i want to join indian army through ota. can you please guide me whether i can join army though i have myopia? what other physical training should i go through to get selected into ota? i have decided to give cds exam at an ade of 20 with pcm. please guide me to join army. i truly want to join army and serve my nation. |

Re: Am i eligible for OTA Chennai if I have a cataract in one eye and vision of 6/18 OTA is Officer Training Academy in Chennai and you can join it through CDS Examination conducted by UPSC. The eyesight criteria for OTA is given below:  You should not have colour blindness otherwise you will be rejected. Along with eyesight you should have good physical fitness and required educational qualification. Graduation in any discipline is required for the CDS examination. The age should be between 19 to 25 years for OTA. Examination Pattern: The examination is divided into three stages and you have to get very good marks in it. -Objective Type Paper -SSB Interview -Medical Examination Hence be prepared for the above exam if you want to become an officer in Indian Army.
