Re: How to take admission in NDA and IMA while studying in 12th standard in commerce stream NDA stands for National Defence Academy which is situated in Pune. UPSC conducts the NDA & NA Exam Twice a year for candidates aspiring to join the Army,Airforce and Navy wing of the defence forces of India. You can apply to NDA Exams being in 12th Class. NDA Exams consists of Written Exams(Objective Type) and Interviews+Physical test+Medical test. Eligibility For NDA Exams : Age Limit : Unmarried Indian Males in the age group of 16.5-19yrs can apply. No relaxation of age limit for any category. Educational Qualification : Minimum educational qualifiction is 12th Boards Pass from a recognised Board/Equivalent. 12th Boards appeared/appearing candidates can also apply on provision. Army-10+2 of school education from a recognised Board/Equivalent Navy and Airforce-10+2 of school education with Physics and Maths as subjects/Equivalent of a recognised Board. IMA stand for Indian Military Academy. You can join the IMA after your graduation by applying to UPSC CDS Exams. To join IMA you will have to get a Bachelors Degree first.
