I am doing M.Sc.(tech) - 3 years course from NIT Warangal, what is the scope after passing? why it is not equal with M.tech? Because it takes 6 years after 12th class & for M.tech also it takes the same time. Only difference is (3 3) & (4 2) years. Before joining M.SC(tech) i have completed B.Sc.(electronics technology)- 3 years from Loyolla Hyderabad

Dear Guest, its a common question for most of the b.tech students who are confused with their future plans. You chose b.tech either of your interest or being a line available to you that time.

Now, if you are wondering what to choose, I will better suggest you listen yourself.
*If you find yourself interested with the same then continue your studies in the same line. It will surely enhance your knowledge and your perspective for the same.

*If you are not satisfied with your stream and want to add up to your skills - Knowledge of management + Technical knowledge then go for MBA.

Both field have a good future in respect of salary.
But, if you have good communicating skill, humorous, find yourself confident enough to deal with people easily, moreover want to earn crores! then you should go for MBA.

M.SC.Tech is altogether a different type of course. Frankly speaking no course is below than other. In M.SC. tech you need to study science subjects along with technical subjects. Most of the universities stopped offering this course the reason is always it is confusing is it a technical course or not. This is the reason when your submitting your resume you do not find this course. Then and there only confusion starts what to mention M.Sc OR M.Sc Tech. I have found many successful engineers and scientists who are having M.SC. Tech. If you are enrolled already concentrate on the subject and develop the concept and decide which line you would like to opt (engineering or research) accordingly develops your skills. Best option is not to opt this because it is always confusing to recruiters.
Personally I feel and prefer M.SC tech than other courses but personal opinions will never hold good in the industry.

Hi,

M.Sc is the course , if you do specialization in chemical, maths, physics etc.

where as You ca say M.Sc(tech) to the specialization in engineering related branches like electronics, information technology , networking, computer etc.

It is not equivalent to B.E/B.Tech as this is a wide course containing the knowledge of branches other than his core branch so, M.sc is not equivalent to engineering

Hope this answer will help you.

regards.
