Hello,
To become an astronaut you need to qualify the exam.
Aspirants who wish to become Astronauts needs to have a Bachelor’s degree in biological science, engineering, mathematics or physical science from a recognized university. They then need to obtain any one of the following degrees from renowned institutes like IISC or IIT.

Candidates can go for:

PhD (Astrophysics).
PhD (Geophysics).
PhD (Metaphysics).
After graduation, the candidates can appear for the entrance exam which is held by the NASA for the recruitment of Scientists, Astronauts etc. Candidates can also find employment in ISRO. There are many openings in ISRO which is conducted for the recruitment of Scientists and Engineers. In order to join the ISRO, the candidates need to clear the Joint Entrance Exam set by the IIT’s.

-->Eligibility to apply:

Citizenship: candidates who are joining the ISRO need to be Indian citizens

Age limit: the candidate should be atleast 21 years at the time of joining. The age limit is relaxable for candidates belonging to the SC/ST category

Qualification: candidates need to be Graduates from a recognized board or university.

-->Process for preparing exam and interview

Candidates need to pass the screening test first. They should submit the application form online. Next they need to undergo tests in professional and psychological aptitude assessment which includes behavioral and logical skills. After that they will go through a Medical evaluation. The final stage is an interview where the candidate will be judged before he/she is selected. The candidates should remember that only 2 or 3 people out of scores of candidates will be chosen at the end. So, they need to be prepared for the toughest competition.

I wish you Good Luck.

I think to become an astronaut you should do your B.TECH in Aerospace engineering from IITs.To become an astronaut you must be very intelligent and you should have good knowledge.Physical fitness will be the next stage.First you should qualify the written exam which is conducted by NASA.Then they will take your interview. They will check your physical fitness. Then if you qualify in that then you will be given training in simulator which you have to qualify. If you qualify then they will might give you chance because they mostly choose experienced astronauts.

hi,
Astronauts need to be able to apply their considerable knowledge and skills to the tasks for which they have been trained; be able to bear tremendous responsibility while in orbit; and be determined to succeed. This is what makes them special.

A high level of education in scientific or technical disciplines, coupled with an outstanding professional background in research, application or education fields possibly supported by the use of computer systems and applications, is essential. Previous experience with aircraft operations is a bonus, particularly if it involved responsible tasks such as being a test pilot or flight engineer. The more skills and experience an applicant has the better, as this will increase their ability to undertake a variety of tasks.
And not only this you should require:
Height 64 and 76 inches
20/70 Corrected to 20/20
Blood Pressure-140/90
Bachelor's Degree
3 Years Experience..
all the best...
