Hi..................,
You defenately can join CA course after your Graduation.....
remember that CA course is one of the toughest course in India......

You need to clear following levels to become CA
* CPT
* IPPC
* FINAL LEVEL TRAINING

CPT is the first stage of CA paper pattern are----
* Basic accounting
* Mercantile Laws
* Quantitative Aplitude
Only after clearing CPT you can move to next level of CA
* note that B.COM students with at least 55% can directly jump to next level....

The first step of Chartered Accountancy would depend on how much marks you have scored in the graduation course. There are basically three stages of the Chartered Accountancy course. As a B.Com graduate, you are eligible for the direct admission in the second stage but must be able to meet the percentage requirement.

Like I said, there are three stages of Chartered Accountancy course.

1. Common Proficiency Test (CPT)

2. Integrated Professional Competancy Test (IPPC)

3. Final Course

Common Proficiency Test or the CPT is the first step to become Chartered Accountant. Anyone who has compelted 10th can register for the exam while you can only appear for the exam after completing 12th standard.

There are two groups in the CPT exam. You need 30 percent marks in each group and total of 50 percent marks in both group combined to pass the CPT exam. The four subjects in the CPT exam are:

1. Fundamentals of Accountancy

2. Economics

3. Mercantile Law

4. Quantitative Aptitude

However you don't need to appear for Common Proficieny Test if you have scored 55 percent marks in B.Com. In such case you are eligible for direct admission in the second stage of the Chartered Accountancy which is called Integrated Professional Competancy Course (IPCC).

There are total of 7 papers in the IPCC which are divided into two groups.

Group 1

1. Accounting

2. Business Laws,Ethics and Communication

3. Cost Accounting and Financial Management

4. Taxation

Group 2

5. Advanced Accounting

6. Auditing and Assurance

7. Information Technology and Strategic Management

Only after passing the Integrated Professional Competancy Course (IPCC) you will be eligible for the Final Course. This is the last and most difficult stage of Chartered Accountancy course. Most students find it extremely difficult. In Final Course there are two groups of 4 papers each.

Group 1

1. Financial Reporting

2. Strategic Financial Management

3. Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics

4. Corporate and Allied Laws

Group 2

5. Advanced Management Accounting

6. Information System control and Audit

7. Direct Tax Laws

8. indirect tax Laws
