60% aggregate in B.Tech or qualifying degree for M.Tech (Master of Technology) admissions

60% aggregate means, one should have overall 60% marks in all semesters of Engineering course. Few students asked me that is it only final year percentage or all four years percentage? The answer is that one need score minimum 60% marks in all four years course in engineering. That also means from semester 1 to semester 8 combined one must have 60% in B.Tech.

Hi
if you are having 65 per cent agreegate marks in engineering then you don't need to be feared of not getting into IIT because it is only the aggregate percentage which is looked while the intake of IIT. all you need to do is concentrate on your gate score card.
Gud luck

Dear,

First of all i want to clear your one doubt that if your aggregarate in B.tech is 65% you don't have to worry about anything. No where you will be asked about your marks in each sem.

So, if you want to go for higher studies in IITs you are 100% eligible for it providede you perform well in GATE and earn a good rankand percentile.

Even in placement interviews your aggregrate will be asked and your sen marks will not create any problem any where. Apart from everything if you get a degree from IIT or got experience of a yar or two from a reputed company no one will ever question on your marks and you will not have to look back.

So, forget your past failure and work for a better tommorrow.

Best of luck!

No its not a big problem. You need to get good score in Gate and atleast 60% marks in graduation all put together. Then you can get admission in IIT's.

Re: How much marks are required in B.Tech to enter into IIT?

Well dear as your agreegate is more than 60% hence you become eligible for gate exam and to get admission in m.tech in iit you does not require any special agreegate marks the thing which matters most is your gate score.so you should apply for gate exam and do very hard preparation for it and if you do well in gate exam then you will get admission in m.tech in iit.
Best of luck
