Re: Does this a good choice to do MCA course having completed B.Sc with Non Medical stream from Punjab University? Yes. Definitely, this is a good choice of opting for MCA course soon after the completion of your B.Sc with non medical stream. There are plenty of job opportunities for these candidates in variety of IT companies. Only thing is that they should fit themselves as per the needs of the industry. Many of the candidates will generally opt for M.Sc soon after the completion of their M.Sc. I don't say its a bad choice. But, I can surely say that there are less number of job opportunities for the candidates after the completion of M.Sc. You did not mention the stream that you have gone through in your Graduation. If you have Mathematics and Computers as the subjects in your Graduation, then it will be an added advantage for you under MCA course because you may come across some of the syllabus of these subjects even in MCA course also. Having prior grip in these subjects will let you to gain more subject knowledge and so that you will become master in the subject knowledge. Start preparing for campus placements too from the 1st year of your MCA course. Make a list of companies which are reputed and which you are interested. Later on, know the selection procedure to be placed in those companies and prepare for accordingly. Try to get job through campus placements otherwise there will be huge competition in outside market. Have good preparation to the Entrance Exam which you are preparing and crack it. Wish you all the best. |
