Indian Army aspirants, first crack the NDA Examination NDA stands for National Defence Academy, this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission in yearly ones. Required height for NDA examination  Educational Qualification Candidates must have 12th standard with PCM (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics) subjects from any recognized institution Age Limit Candidates age should between 16.5 years to 19 years, there is no age relaxation for this examination Nationality Candidates should be a citizen of Indian Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this examination Selection Procedure Written Examination Medical Test Interview Exam Pattern for NDA

Re: Height and weight required to join Indian Army? After 10+2 you can join Indian Army as officer through NDA examination. The age should be between 16.5 to 19 years and should be unmarried male for NDA. There are some physical requirements that you must have if you are applying for NDA examination. Hence you must check the physical requirements before applying so that you don't have to face rejection later. For physical fitness requirement i am attaching a pdf file please download it . Re: Height and weight required to join Indian Army?  Dear friend, If you are interested in Indian Army, Then you will have to appear for NDA examination. Please go through these criteria details below : 1.Academic qualification : The candidate should complete 12th standard examination 2.Age limitation : The age of the candidate must be within 16.5 to 19 years. 3.Nationality : The candidate must be an Indian 4.Eyesight criteria : Eyesight of the candidate must be 6/6. 5.Height criteria : The height of the candidate should be minimum 165 cm. Re: Height and weight required to join Indian Army? i am ok now height weight eyesight and everything perfect & don't have any history of bone fecture but has past history of cva(paralysis) but totally recovered & everything fine now.and can do3-4 km run, 50situps,20 pushups averagely but .can i join ARMY through TGC .my biggest worry is cva history.is their any examination that revel my history. |

Re: Height and weight required to join Indian Army? the requirement of height and weight vary according to your age exact hight requirement is 157.6cm. in Indian Army. but there can be increase on decrease some in height and weight both according to your age so don't be hopeless if your age is not exact 157.6cm. With this your body must be physically fit. |

Remember the weight charts provided have relaxation too, which are there decided by some factors which only the army doctors can say, for example - Bone density. so even if you are over weight you have a relaxation of +/- 10% of weight.
