Now am pursuing my degree 2nd year,my plan is to complete my preperation till the completion of my final year.so i dnt know clearly about the portion related to group 1 and any coaching is compulsory necessary to join in an institution...so, plzzzzzzzzz help me how to prepare for group 1 prelims..to write prelims exam do we need any percentage or any entrance exam required sir...which material is best for preperation?

For IAS preparation, you can refer to 'The Pearson CSAT Manual 2011 by Edgar Thorpe'
The cost of the book is about Rs.893/-

The Hindi version of the same book is Pearson 'Civil Seva Prarambhik Pariksha Kosh 2011 (CSAT Manual)' and cost is same.

I suggest these books, as these have latest information is very updated and you will find everything that you require for your preparation

For appearing in UPSC IAS you must be graduate first of all and as you have not clearly stated that from which field you bellong here is the official site of IAS which will help you through all your requirements.

Hello,
Basically IAS exam paper consists of general awareness questions, so there is no such specified syllabus for IAS exam.
The paper consists of the combination of 25 subjects including maths and english.
You can purchase the 10 years solved paper for IAS for the better preparation.

now the pattern of ias exam is changed to csat in prelimnay examination.the pattern of csat is similar to the pattern of cat exam.you can refer and practice cat previous years question papers,and you refer to ncert books of cbse pattern.it will help you to get eady for general studies paper.

Dear friend it is matter of pride for you that you are interested in IAS exam . First of all you have to choose two subjects in whom you have to appear in this exam . These subjects can be of any stream and any subject of your choice .You have not mentioned that in which subjects you have made up your mind to appear, then how can one suggest you of good books, however i suggest you to join any good coaching center for preparing this exam .coaching centers at Delhi are well known for their quality like Chankayas academy . dear friend you first tell us about the subjects . then any of of members from the forum will certainly guide you in this exam
