About HAL

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is a public sector company under the Ministry of Defense. The company is mainly engaged in aerospace industry and manufactures and assembles aircraft. The company is also involved in operating airports and manufactures navigation equipments. HAL is one of the biggest aerospace companies in Asia and is based in Bangalore. The company has branches in Hyderabad, Nasik, Koraput (Orissa), Korwa (U.P), Kanpur, Lucknow and Barrackpore (W.B.).
Recruitment Process

The pattern of the recruitment test for HAL is given below:

There are five disciplines in which the question booklets are divided:

• Aeronautical

• Electrical and Electronics

• Mechanical and Production

• Metallurgy

• Computer Science

Paper Pattern

There are 160 questions in all the booklets. The questions are all objective types. There are 15 questions on General Awareness, 25 questions on General Engineering, 120 questions on the specific discipline. Each question carries 1 mark. So the total is 160.

There is no negative marking in the exam. Some further considerations are also made for the candidature. The candidates should have passed the final year of any of the specified branches. There is also a requirement of 60% marks in aggregate in all the semesters for general candidates and 50% marks for SC/ST Candidates.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: a) Please refer the table in SECTION ‘A’ for age limit and other conditions which will be determined with reference to the closing date as mentioned in advertisement. b) Candidates appearing in the final examination of the eligibility Essential Qualificational Requirement (EQR) may also apply. However, they shall only be interviewed, if they have passed the EQR before the date of interview and must produce the Original Certificate at the time of Document Verification. c) Candidates must have read the required subject at least for 2 years in the course of B.Sc. programme. d) Please note that the candidates possessing higher qualification viz. M.Sc. or B.Tech, B.E. degree etc shall NOT be considered for the recruitment to the posts of Senior Technical Assistant ‘B’ or Technician ‘A’. e) Candidates must be a citizen of India. f) Candidates must be in good mental & physical health and free from any physical deformity which may interfere in efficient discharge of duties. A candidate, after mical examination such as may be prescribed by the competent authority, conducted before the offer of appointment is issued, if not found fit, will not be appointed. g) Candidates serving in Govt. /PSU /Autonomous bodies etc. should submit their applications through proper channel, or attach ‘no objection certificate’ from present employer, failing both MUST produce NOC at the time of Document Verification. h) At any stage of selection process, if it is found on verification that an individual fails to fulfil any of the eligibility criteria, his/her candidature shall be treated as cancelled without notice and no representation in this regard shall be entertained under any circumstances.

RESERVATION BENEFITS:

a) Reservation benefits will be available to the candidates in accordance with the instructions/orders/circulars, issued by Govt. from time to time.

IMPORTANT: Candidates who wish to be considered against reserved vacancies, seeking age and fee relaxation, must support their claim by submitting their applications alongwith duly self attested copies of relevant certificates issued by Govt./notified Competent Authority, else their claim for any relaxation/concession etc will not be considered and their application will be dealt with as that falling under General Category (UR). b) PWD: as per PWD reservation roaster of DRDO, the reserved vacancies for PWD are mentioned against each post. AGE RELAXATION: The candidate must be within prescribed age limit on the closing date. However, upper age limit is relaxable for SC, ST, OBC, PWD, MSP, ESM, GS, persons domiciled in Kashmir Division of J&K state during the period from 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989, widows, Divorced women and Women judicially separated from husband but not remarried as per the rule prescribed by the Government. For relaxation of age limit and proforma for certificates, our website may be referred.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

a) To pass Typing Test is essential for the post of Admin Assistant ‘A’ & Store Assistant ‘A’. b) For the post of Fireman ‘A’, Fire Engine Driver, etc. where physical fitness is necessary for discharge of the duties, it is mandatory to pass the prescribed Physical Endurance & Medical tests as per DRDO norms.

HOW TO APPLY: Use the designed proforma (SECTION ‘C’) on A4 size white plain paper, and in the same format as provided in advertisement. The proforma may be downloaded from our website. Photocopy of the format published in the Employment News can also be used. All columns of the application form should be filled legibly in own handwriting. CEPTAM encourages online registration of candidates through our website.Online facility will be available upto 1600 Hrs of 14th Feb, 2011. To be considered, online applicants MUST send their printed copy of application duly signed alongwith prescribed fee, photograph, relevant documents etc so as to reach us before the closing date at our Post Box.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION: The written examination will be OMR based and of two hours duration, consisting of 150 objective type multiple choice questions.

a) For STA ‘B’ & Technician ‘A’ : The written test will consist of (i) 50 questions on General Awareness, General Intelligence, Reasoning Ability, General Science and (ii) 100 Questions on Subject concerned.
b) For Assistant Hindi: The written test will consist of (i) 50 Questions on General Awareness, General Intelligence, Reasoning & Numerical Ability and (ii) 50 Questions each on Hindi and English Language.
c) For Admin Assistant ‘A’ & Store Assistant ‘A’ : The written examination will consist of (i) 75 questions on General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability (ii) 25 questions on General English and (iii) 50 Questions on Hindi OR English language.
d) For Civilian Driver ‘A’, Security Assistant ‘A’, Fire Engine Driver and Fireman: The written test will consist of (i) 100 Questions on General Awareness, General Reasoning, Arithmetic , Numerical Ability (ii) 25 Job related questions and (ii) 25 Questions on Hindi or English language.

DRDO Exam SYLLABUS & MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION: The syllabus of the examination will be based on the standards of essential qualification required for the post. The medium for Written Examination will be Hindi or English.

EXAMINATION CITIES WITH CODE NUMBER: Based on the number of candidates, Examination Cities will be chosen from the following list (Numerals printed in the box below are respective city codes): -

Candidates are advised to choose any three cities in order of preference for written examination and write the respective city codes in application form. CEPTAM reserves the right to add/delete any exam city depending upon the number of applicants and availability of the Centres etc. Notwithstanding anything, candidates shall surely be allotted one of the examination cities.

DATE AND CENTRE OF EXAMINATION: The tentative date of examination for all posts is 24th Apr, 2011 (SUNDAY). Total examination shall be completed in two shifts. However, the exact date, time, and examination centre will be intimated by post. The same will also be available on our website. The written examination of STA ‘B’ & Tech ‘A’ shall be conducted in different shifts on the same day all over the country. The examination for Admin Assistant ‘A’ and Store Assistant ‘A’ shall also be in separate shifts but it shall be time-clubbed either with shift for STA ‘B’ or Technician ‘A’. Therefore, candidates applying for more than one post should send their application, complete in all respect, in separate envelope. However, the written examination for the post code 0501 and 0502 will be common and therefore single application will be adequate. Other exams would be held in any shift.

MODE OF SELECTION: a) All the candidates will be called for written examination without scrutiny. However, the Original Certificates/Diploma/Degree will be examined/verified at the time of Document Verification. b) Candidates will be shortlisted on valid criteria as prescribed and adopted by CEPTAM, and final selection will be based on pooled merit of post/category/sub-category of the candidate which will be based on the marks obtained in Written Examination and Interview taken together. It is reiterated that it is mandatory for shortlisted candidates to pass the prescribed skill/trade/physical/medical tests, as per the norms, wherever applicable.

CAUTION: Misrepresentation or falsification of facts detected at any stage of the selection process, or adopting unfair means at examination or misconduct/misbehavior shall result in cancellation of candidature without any notice, and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. hi dear,

the notification for DRDO scientist entry test examination is published generally April or May of every year. this is a three hours duration examination and generally conducted on 1st Sunday of September. there are two sections viz. Section 'A' of 100 questions to test the candidate's knowledge in the subject of their BE/ BTech (for Engg discipline) or MSc ( for Science Discipline) and Section 'B' of 50 questions to test the candidate's ability in analytical and qualitative skills, current affairs and general awareness to test the aptitude and scientific knowledge required for Applied Research & Development.

hi,
HAL stands for (Hindustan aeronautics limited) looking after aeronautical
systems of Indian Air Force all types of Aircraft. HAL repairs and do overhauling of aircrafts.

DRDO stands for Defence Research and development Organisation. Produces weapons for defence. DRDO has many research labs.

There is no fix dates for entrance exam of DRDO and HAL. So pleases read
employment news and refer official websites.

Eligibility FOR HAL:

Age Criteria:
Maximum age limit is 28 yrs for general students .

Educational Qualification:
Diploma in respective field with minimum 60% marks.

Selection Process:

Candidates are selected for the post through written test, Practical test and interview.
Only short listed candidates will be called for the written test.

ELIGIBILITY FOR DRDO :

Atleast first class or 6.75 GPA Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics &
Communication Engg / Mechanical Engg / Computer Science & Engg/ Chemical Engg/
Electrical Engg from a recognized University in respective/relevant discipline.


Age :
maximum 28 years .

Maximum relaxation in upper age limit will be as under:-

i) Upto 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates
ii) Upto 03 years in case of OBC candidates
iii) Upto 05 years for Physically Handicapped Persons (10 years for SC/ST and 08 years for OBC candidates) in identified disciplines even if no posts are reserved for them in these areas.
iv) In case of Ex-serviceman, services rendered in the armed forces plus 3 years

the syllabus common to all is:

Linear Algebra: Matrix Algebra, Systems of linear equations, Eigen values and eigen vectors.
Calculus: Mean value theorems, Theorems of integral calculus, Evaluation of definite and
improper integrals, Partial Derivatives, Maxima and minima, Multiple integrals, Fourier series.
Vector identities, Directional derivatives, Line, Surface and Volume integrals, Stokes, Gauss and
Green?s theorems.
Differential equations: First order equation (linear and nonlinear), Higher order linear differential
equations with constant coefficients, Method of variation of parameters, Cauchy?s and Euler?s
equations, Initial and boundary value problems, Partial Differential Equations and variable
separable method.
Complex variables: Analytic functions, Cauchy?s integral theorem and integral formula, Taylor?s
and Laurent? series, Residue theorem, solution integrals.
Probability and Statistics: Sampling theorems, Conditional probability, Mean, median, mode and
standard deviation, Random variables, Discrete and continuous distributions, Poisson, Normal
and Binomial distribution, Correlation and regression analysis.

The DRDO scientist exam is conducted on the 1st sunday of september each year.The scientist entry notification is published in April each year. The paper duration is 3 hours and the paper has 2 sections, section'A' and section 'B'.

Section A consists of 100 question to test candidates knowledge in the their subject of B.E./B.Tech or MSc.

Section B consists of 50 question to test candidates skills in analytical and qualitative skills, current affairs, G.K., and to test the scientific knowledge required for Applied research and development.

Eligibility for DRDO CEPTAM Recruitment 2011

a) Please refer the table in Section ‘A’ for age limit and other conditions which will be determined with reference to the closing date as mentioned in advertisement.

b) Candidates appearing in the final examination of the eligibility Essential Qualificational Requirement (EQR) may also apply. However, they shall only be interviewed, if they have passed the EQR before the date of DRDO CEPTAM Interview and must produce the Original Certificate at the time of Document Verification.

c) Candidates must have read the required subject at least for 2 years in the course of B.Sc. programme.

d) Please note that the candidates possessing higherqualification viz. M.Sc. or B.Tech, B.E. degree etc shall not be considered for the recruitment to the posts of Senior Technical Assistant ‘B’ or Technician ‘A’.

e) Candidates must be a citizen of India.

f) Candidates must be in good mental & physical health and free from any physical deformity which may interfere in efficient discharge of duties. A candidate, after medical examination such as may be prescribed by the competent authority, conducted before the offer of appointment is issued, if not found fit, will not be appointed.

g) Candidates serving in Govt. / PSU / Autonomous bodies etc. should submit their applications through proper channel, or attach ‘No Objection Certificate’ from present employer, failing both must produce NOC at the time of Document Verification.

h) At any stage of DRDO CEPTAM selection process, if it is found on verification that an individual fails to fulfil any of the eligibility criteria, his / her candidature shall be treated as cancelled without notice and no representation in this regard shall be entertained under any circumstances.

the notification for DRDO scientist entry test examination is published generally April or May of every year. this is a three hours duration examination and generally conducted on 1st Sunday of September. there are two sections viz. Section 'A' of 100 questions to test the candidate's knowledge in the subject of their BE/ BTech (for Engg discipline) or MSc ( for Science Discipline) and Section 'B' of 50 questions to test the candidate's ability in analytical and qualitative skills, current affairs and general awareness to test the aptitude and scientific knowledge required for Applied Research & Development.
