Respected sir/madam, i have completed in B.E civil engg...2013 batch.. I'm obc category. i would like to write the ies exam..so i need some details about ies exam like,application form details, exam centers,best coaching centers for off or online preparation methods, exam tips,way of learning,any scholarship for free coaching classes and etc..or i will study to M.E after i will write exam..please,you will give the proper suggestion...thank you.. |

 The acronym for IES is Indian Engineering Services. UPSC conducts IES examination every year. Sorry to say that you are not eligible for IES examination at present time. The eligibility criteria required for IES examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in civil engineering/mechanical engineering/electrical engineering/electronics and communication engineering from any recognised college or university. * Age limit- 21-30 yrs. * Age relaxation- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contendors. * No. of attempts- 4 for General, 7 for OBC and 9 for SC/ST contendors. * Nationality- Indian. Eligibility For IES Exam The Indian Engineering Services(IES) Exam is conducted every year by the UPSC for selection of candidates to the most elite panel of the government jobs for engineers.. A candidate is eligible to appear for the Indian Engineering Services Exam if he/she satisfies the following conditions :- >> Candidate must be within the age limit of 21-30 years.. >> 21-33 years of age limit for OBC candidates.. >> 21-35 years age limit for SC/ST candidates.. >> The candidates who are in the final year of their B.E/B.Tech or have already completed their degree in any one of the below mentioned streams are eligible :- > Civil Engineering > Mechanical Engineering > Electrical Engineering > Electronics and Communications Engineering Right now..you are not eligible to appear for the IES Exam but you can apply for the exam once you are in your 8th semester.. There are 2 objective papers and 2 conventional papers which the candidates need to clear.. After clearing the written exam..they are called for the final interview.. Dear Friend IES stands for the Indian Engineering services examinations.It is also called Engineering services examinations. This is one of the best and most suitable UPSC examinations for an engineer of any stream.It is organised once every year . The basic eligibility criteria for the IES exam is as below: 1.Academic requirement: >>You must have bachelor's degree in engineering/technology in any discipline from a recognised university.Final year candidates are also allowed to apply for the examinations.
