Hey friend,

IAS is a Indian Civil Service post and for joining in this post you need to write the IAS exam which is being conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) and is held every year.

As asked what is the minimum percentage to be got in +2 for joining in as a IAS Officer,it is that there is nothing to be regarded about the percentage in +2 which is nothing to be regarded about the post but you need to have got a fair percentage in your respected degree in any discipline as per the education qualification.

It is that you need to have completed a degree in any recognized university and that to with a fair percentage in order to be eligible for applying for the exam.

There are certain other standards which are needed to be satisfied by you inorder to apply for the exam and they are:

>> The candidate appearing for the exam must be a citizen of India

>> The age limit for General Category candidates is 21-30 years.

>> For SC/ST it is 21-35 years

>> For OBC it is 21-33 years

>> The candidate who is a Ex-service men will get a exception of 5 years from the prescribed limits.

If you are satisfying them all then you can apply for the IAS exam

The candidate will be selected for the post through 3 stages:

## Preliminary Exam

## Main Exam

## Interview

You need to pass them all to join in as a IAS Officer

For more information regarding the exam check at http://www.upsc.gov.in
