Yes definitely, girls are eligibile for Army wing. First of all, I would like to inform you that to join Army, you will have to appear for CDS(Combined Defence Services) examination. CDS examination is conducted as CDS-I and CDS-II by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) twice every year. CDS examination is conducted for these four wings:- * Indian Naval Academy. * Indian Air Force Academy. * Indian Army/Military Academy. * Officer's Training Academy. The selection procedure for the CDS examination is mentioned as below:- * Written examination. * SSB interview. * Physical/Medical test. CDS examination pattern:-  The eligibility criteria required for the CDS examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any track from any accredited college or university. * Age limit:- 19-22 yrs:- INA. 19-23 yrs:- IAA. 19-24 yrs:- IMA. 19-25 yrs:- OTA. * Nationality:- Indian. * Sex:- Both male and female. * Marital status:- Unmarried or single. * Physical eligibility:-  |

You can Join Indian Army after completing Engineering through the Combined Defense Services Examination. Yeah girls are eligible for Army after completion of Graduation in engineering. This is done with the CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam which is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) two times in a year i.e CDS-I and CDS-II. Eligibility details:- The candidate must be physically fit. Male and Female candidates both are eligible. The candidate should be complete graduation from any recognised university. Percentage is not important to appear this exam. The candidates must be a citizen of india. Age criteria:- The age limits for Naval academy 19 to 22 years, For military academy 19 to 24 years, For Officer training academy 19 to 25years, For Airforce academy 19 to 23 years. Re: Career in Army for Girls after Engineering? to watch all the recruitment details of indian army visit the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in obviously there is a good scope in army field for girls also. the recruit engineering student from any branch. salary for engineering student in army is very high. at last your direction is obviously correct. but one thing i want to tell you about indian army that you have to be medically fit and you have to do training of army which is little bit tough. you have to spend your life hard if you join in indian army. but surely it's a great service and also honorable. |

Re: Career in Army for Girls after Engineering? Only unmarried candidates can join Indian Army. Both male and female candidates can apply for UES after completing their engineering degree (Btech or B.E. ), whichever applies. Mainly UES or University Entrance Scheme has two modes of selection which we call as commissions. These two modes are Firstly, The Short Service Commission or SSC. in which the candidates have the option of joining Indian Army and serving as a Commissioned Officer for 10 years. After 10years, the wish is of the candidate if he wantsto continue or discontinue his services to the Army. Secondly, The Permanent Commission which means a career in the Army till retirement. For a Permanent commission you have to join the National Defense Academy or the Indian Military Academy . Age : Final Year Degree applicant- 19 years to 25 years Pre-Final Year Degree applicant – 18 years to 24 years, TGC-111 – 20 to 27 years, TGC-113 – 20 to 27 years, SSC (Technical) Men -35 : 20-27 years, SSC (Technical) Men-37 :20 – 27 year, SSC (Technical) Women -6 : 20– 27 years. |

Re: Career in Army for Girls after Engineering? If you are willing to join Indian Army, than you may also do so on the basis of your graduation degree in any of the stream. On the basis bachelor degree, girls candidates can join Defence forces by following entry modes: Short Service Commission (SSC) conducted by UPSC. Other than this, if you are specifically interested to join Indian Army only on the basis of engineering degree than you can join Technical Branch of Indian Army as a Mechanical Engineer. On the basis of this entry mode, girl candidates within the age limit of 18 to28 are eligible to join Technical Branches provided they must be having engineering degree with minimum 60% marks. Final years/semester appearing students can also apply for the examination provisionally. |

In army girls have a wonderful and prospect life but you should have 60% marks in any graduation level it is minimum basic criteria The Indian Army has a needs Engineers: The Engineers are led and managed by Engineer Officers Engineers conduct mobility and counter mobility support...building bridges and roads for Infantry and Armor...emplacing and destroying minefields...and reducing obstacles prior to Infantry and Armor assaults...so yes the participate in combatto . on my view mechanical is better to you.so take mechanical or you can simply take any degree then you can join in to army.if your desire is serve country why to waste extra one year. join indian army you have to fulfill these basic criterias: 1)you should be less than 23 years old. 2)you should be medically sound. 3)plus two with maths and physics as compulsury subjects with 65% aggregate 4)The other after graduation such that minimum criteria for the the percentage is 60% and varied to 65% *girls should have the height of 152 cms with correlated weight. Eye Sight - The minimum acceptable standard for distant vision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses and should not be colour/night blind. dont worry your career option is good dont get dissapointed , see at first you should have strong determination to do in that work.dont follow other students simply, please remember you are living for the country and dont look for best oppurtunities. go ahead be bold be confidence and be satisfied on what you are doing. Re: Career in Army for Girls after Engineering? after your engineering so many direct entries are there as TGC, NCC entry and UES details in joining if your are having ncc 'c' certificate so you can give ssb in direct form, if you are a technical graduate in any disciplines so she can give TGC entry and ues is a scheme where army officers comes to your college for pre ssb and they decides whether she has to go ssb or not. |

Dear friend indian defense service welcomes such type of girl who are interested in joining indian defense services.You can join it after completing your BTech through following scheme: 1.SSCW(T): short service commission women(Tech),for this scheme , advertisement comes in weekly news paper named employment news,keep in touch with this news paper. In this, entry scheme you will be called for direct SSB interview,after qualifying in SSB you will be commissioned as Officer in the army. 2.SSCW(PG- post graduate):for this scheme , advertisement also comes in weekly news paper named employment news,keep in touch with this news paper .In this entry scheme, after passing MTech you will be called for direct SSB interview,after qualifying in SSB you will be commissioned as Officer in the army.
