Hi

NIT - National Institute of Technology

These institutes are counted among the top technical colleges in the country.

To get admissions in the B.Techs in these colleges, one needs to appear in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination.

AIEEE

This exam is conducted by the CBSE every year in the month of the April to intake students for the NIT's and other technical and engineering colleges across the country.

Now coming to your question, I would say Please work as hard as you can to rank in the top 1000 AIR.

This is because all the seats of the top 5 NIT's in India are filled within this range of Rank.

If you score less than that and are not able to rank even in the top 5000 AIR, I would be really sorry to say that you will not get any seat in the NIT's itself.

So believe that the competition is very tough and hence you need to work accordingly.

The cutoff marks for the AIEEE held this year are not yet out. You may expect the results to be out by May end.

Hope this helps

All the best

Regards
