If you are desirous of appearing in IAS Examination, then you required only to be graduated. No need to worried over marks obtained or percentage marks.

You should worried over marks obtained. You should focus more on strengthening the basic concepts of subjects. Slow, steady and regular study of subjects opted will surely ensure your success.

Prescribed eligibility criteria fixed is:

# Must be Indian citizen.
# Must have completed 10+2+3 sysyem of education in any stream.
# No restriction over percentage or marks secured.
# Candidate must not have any police record regarding criminal conspiracy.
# Number of attempts fixed separately for each and every category
* 9 attempts for Open category
* 4 attempts for OBC category
* No restriction on number of attempts SC and ST category.
# Age limit fixed is 21-30 years. There is age relaxation in upper age by 10 years for SC & ST, by 3 years for OBC category

For apply IAS exam the minimum Education qualification is Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service.

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC under Civil Services exam.

Eligibility criteria:-

Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

Candidate should be completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.

Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates.

Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years

And SC/ST category candidates 5 years.

Number of Attempts:-

General category candidates - 4 time

OBC category Candidates - 7 time

SC/ST category candidates - No limit.

Selection procedure :-

- Preliminary entrance exam

- Main entrance exam

- Interview

Very good news for you to become an IAS officer no required marks needed, just you should know that any Graduate from the recognized University having minimum pass marks can apply for UPSC conducted IAS(CIVIL SERVICES)entrance examination.

IAS(Indian Administrative Services)entrance examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year.

Percentage need to be minimum of 50% in your Graduation.

IAS comes under Civil Services exam which is Conducted by UPSC.

To become a IAS officer you need to Crack Civil Service exam.

To appear for Civil Service exam you need to have completed your Graduation with minimum of 50%.

Your Age need to be between 21 to 33 years.

Age relaxation can be given for Reservation category candidates.

So don't worry about the percentage , just concentrate on your preparation and crack the exam so that based on your marks you will be given posting as IAS or IPS officer.

Graduation complete

No percentage required.

Final appearing candidates are also eligible.

Age limit:

for ias officer you must be graduate frome any decilpline..
percentage is 55%. apart from this your age must be between 21 to 30.
and must be physically and mentally fit
it consist of two paper
1.prelims
2 . mains.

IAS - INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER, to become an IAS officer you have to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

There is no percentage of marks required for application to Civil Service exam.

ELIGIBILITY FOR CIVIL SERVICE EXAM:-

-The candidate must be an Indian National.
-Should have either appear for the final graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University.
-Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years. There is upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

The selection is through two stages of written exam:-

-CSAT - CIVIL SERVICE APTITUDE TEST also called as PRELIMINARY EXAM which comprises of all objective type questions.

-CIVIL SERVICE MAIN EXAMINATION which comprises of subjective type questions on the syllabus as prescribed.

The eligible candidate applying for Civil Service exam are called for CSAT exam and the candidate selected from CSAT is called for to sit before the Civil Service Main Exam.

The last stage of selection is through personal Interview from the selected candidate from Civil Service Main Exam.

IAS one of the most prestigious post in India. IAS stand for Indian Administrative Service. The UPSC conducts the examination every year all over India.UPSC stands for the Union of Public Servuce Commission. Thousands of candidates appear for the examination but only very few are able to clear the examination.
It is one of the toughest examination in India.

Eligibility Criteria for applying in IAS are:

1)the candidate should be a Indian citizen

2)age limitation-for a general candidate the age must be 21 years or more than 21 but less than 30 years.
age is relaxed for the SC/ST/OBC/PD
the age is relaxed by 5 years for the schedule caste and schedule tribe candidates.
age is relaxed by 3 years for the Other Backward Classes.

3)the candidate must have a bachelor degree from any recognized university(10+2+3).
no percentage barrier is needed for applying IAS.

4)for the genral candidates the maximum number of attempts are 4
for the schedule caste and tribe there is no limit on the number of attempts and
for other backward classes the maximum number of attempt is 7.

written examination as well as interview is conducted if the candidate is able to clear the written exam.

written paper consist of 2000marks and interview of 300 marks is conducted.
subjects in written exam are English(qualifying), Essay, General studies, one of the Indian Languages and any two among the following;
agriculture,management, mathematics,chemistry,economics,geography,civil engineering,geology, mechanical engineering,indian history,medical science, philosophy, physics,botany.sociology, anthropology,statistics, psychology,zoology,political science,economics,animal husbandry,etc.

There is no cut off in the marks required to appear for this exam. But a good academic record certainly will be an added advantage. Graduation marks will be one of the factors considered at the time of final decision. Other than this more weightage will be given to marks in written test and personal interview. You will also need to clear the physical fitness round.
