The criteria for Indian Police Force is listed below:- You age age should be till 25 years. You have passed graduation from a recognized university with minimum 60% of marks. Hello Friend, Initial Requirements In most states you are required to be at least 21 years of age to join the police force, although some states will allow you to apply at the age of 18. You are also typically required to have a high school degree, although most states will recognize a GED as a valid degree for employment purposes. You must also be a U.S. citizen at the time you apply, though naturalized citizenship is acceptable. Physical Requirements In order to enter the academy you will have to be a solid physical shape. You will be required to pass a physical examination and physical performance evaluation. The performance evaluation will typically consist of a one- or 1.5-mile run, push-ups, vertical jumps, sit-ups and a 300-meter dash. While the standards will vary from state to state, you will be required to meet certain performance benchmarks in each of these activities. For example, you may be required to run 1.5 miles in less than 15 minutes. Psychological Requirements In addition to physical tests you will also be required to pass a psychological evaluation. You will be evaluated for severe mental illnesses as well as personality disorders. The goal is to ensure you are free from any emotional or mental conditions that may impair your ability to be a police officer. Intelligence Requirements You will also be required to pass a written examination testing your basic reading, writing and math skills. In most states the level of difficulty is comparable to the SATs. A typical entrance exam will consist of questions focusing on spelling, vocabulary, sentence clarity and reading comprehension. It is highly advisable to study before taking the exam, and most state's POST agencies will provide online study materials for you. Thank You. |
