UGC-NET stands for the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test,actually it is conducted by the University Grants Commission that's why it has go the name UGC-NET.It is a national level examination.

National Eligibility Test Eligibility June 2012-

You are doing of NET exam 2012. but this exam is some rule. if you apply per rule then you give NET exam.

Conditions of UGC NET Eligibility Criteria 2012 June :

1.Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks ( without rounding off ) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities / institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities ( including languages ) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test.

2.The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 ( irrespective of date of declaration of result ) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks ( i.e., from 55% to 50% ) for appearing in NET.

3.Candidates with Post Graduate Diploma / Certificate Course ( s ), should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their course ( s ) with Master’s degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities ( AIU ), New Delhi. ( www.aiuweb.org )

AGE LIMIT-28years maximam.

*Candidate must have complete the post graduation in any trade...

*Candidate must have secure 55% marks in post graduation for general category.
For SC/ST 50% aggregate is required.

*Candidates age should not be more than 28 years.

you have to scored atleast 55% marks in your master degree or equivalent examination.
There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing only for eligibility for lectureship. And for Junior Research Fellowship, you should not be more than 28 years of age.

You can apply for the NET exam if you are fulfilling this criteria as under-

(a) For the post of Junior Research Fellowship

1.you must not be more then the age of 28 years.

2.You must have completed your master in graduation with minimum of 55% marks for General and OBC students; 50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually Handicapped students.

3.Phd degree holder can also apply.

(b) For lecturership: There is no upper age limit.Minimum age is 19 years.

As an MBA you can apply for the NET exam BUt as a P.G.D.M you are not eligible for that.

iThe National Eligibility Test (NET),conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine eligibility for
lectureship and
for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) .

The Test is conducted twice(months of June and December) in a year in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science like SET(State Eligibility Test).

Eligibility:
1:You should have Master Degree from a recognized University and Colleges,you can also apply for the exam if your Result Awaited category, if you are appearing or has appeared in your final year of M.Sc. or equivalent degree examination.

2:You have to secure minimum 55% of marks in your Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination
3:There is no age limit for applying for lectureship.

4:If you apply for Junior Research Fellowship ,your age should not more than 28 years.

And If You are appearing your Master's Degree examination and if your result is still awaited may also apply for this Test.

NET exams are conducting twice a year, i.e., in the months of June and December by UGC. The notifications announcing the June and December examinations are published in the months of March and September respectively in the weekly Employment News.
so you can apply for june month NET......

eligibility criteria for NET

M.Sc or equivalent degree under the subjects mentioned above, with minimum 55% marks for General and OBC candidates
and 50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually Handicapped candidates and Ph.D.

A candidate can also apply for the Test under RA (Result Awaited) category, if he/she is appearing or has appeared in his/her final year (III/IV Semester where Semester system is there) of M.Sc. or equivalent degree examination in subjects mentioned in above. Such candidates will have to submit the attestation format (given at the reverse of the application form) duly certified by the Head of the Deptt./Institute over his/her signature and rubber stamp (with address and name) from where the candidate is appearing or has appeared in the final year M.SC or equivalent degree examination.
However, such candidates shall be admitted to the Test provisionally. They shall only be considered eligible for JRF-(NET)/LS-(NET), if they are able to produce the proof of having passed the Master’s Degree examination in the relevant or related subject with the requisite percentage of marks and within the stipulated time frame.

Hi friend,

Even with PG courses you must have certain eligibility conditions.

Following are the conditions of eligibility on the basis of qualification.

CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY:

i) You must have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in

Master’s Degree from universities recognised by UGC. The SC/ST/Physically

Handicapped category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks

(without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are

also eligible for this Test.

ii) If you want to seek concession in fee you are required to submit attested

copy of your OBC/SC/ST/PH/VH certificate along with online

printout of your Application Forms (obtained while applying on-line). Other

candidates are not required to submit any certificates/documents in support

of your eligibility along with printout of their Application Form.

iv) Your post-graduate should ascertain the equivalence of their course(s)

with Master’s degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of

Indian Universities (AIU).

University Grant commission conducts the national eligibility test (NET)at every six month. It is conducted once in June and once in December.
The eligibility criteria for NET-2011 exam : A minimum of 55% marks in master degree or an equivalent examination from a University recognize by UGC and minimum 50% for SC/ST/PH category student. The age must be less then 28 years.

Eligibility for NET 2011 examination

a) Education Qualification

M.Sc. or Equivalent degree under the subjects mentioned in para 2.1 above, with minimum
- 55% marks for General & OBC candidates;
- 50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually Handicapped candidates and Ph.D. degree holders who had passed Master's degree prior to 19th September 1991.

b) Age limit and relaxation

For JRF (NET): Minimum 19 Years and maximum 28 years as on 01-01-2011
- upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years as in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy Layer), Physically handicapped/Visually handicapped and female applicants

For LS (NET): Minimum 19 years, as on 01.01.2011. No upper age limit.

For appearing for the NET exam a Master's course is a must. It should be from a recognised institute.

Also you need to have secured 55% marks. Since you are qualified you can apply. This is provided that you fulfill the other criteria's.

Also you can appear for this exam at any age as the age limit has not be specified. You can appear for the exam either in June or in December. Also there is no limit on the number of attempts.

You will need to select Management as a subject. Try solving the previous year paper and be careful not to attempt questions which you are not sure of. You can visit the official site for the details.

HELLO SIR,

University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) every year.

THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE POST GRADUATE DEGREE IN THE DESIRED SUBJECT.

A candidate must have secured Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% from any reputed college under UGC recognition.
FOR SC/ST it is 50%.

but sir as you dont have MASTER DEGREE so you are not eligible for writing the exam.

Eligibility Criteria for appearing in NET Examination

The Below are the List of Qualification or Eligibility Criteria, i have take this From ugc net Website.

a) Qualifications
  • Candidates belonging to the General/Other Backward Classes (OBC) who have secured at least 55% marks (without grace or rounding off in Master's Degree (or equivalent) examination in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Sciences etc. are eligible to appear for this examination. Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and Physically Handicapped (PH)/ Visually Handicapped (VH) candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without grace or rounding off) in Master's degree (or equivalent) examination are eligible to appear in the NET examination.

  • Those candidates who have even secured 54.99% marks or below (even 49.99% marks or below for SC/ST & PH/VH candidates) in Master's Degree or equivalent Examination are NOT eligible for this Test. THERE IS NO PROVISION OF ROUNDING OFF OF MARKS TO MAKE IT 55% (50% FOR SC/ST and PH/VH).

  • Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at the qualifying Master's Degree examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of JRF/Lectureship eligibility, only after they have passed the Master's Degree examination (or) equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH/VH candidates) within one year from the date of UGC_NET examination under consideration.In case, these candidates fail to obtain their P.G. Degree/Mark-sheet within one year from the date of the relevant UGC_NET examination, they will be treated as disqualified.

  • Only those candidates, who have completed/ are pursuing a UGC specified degree as given in Item No.18, are eligible to appear for NET examination.

  • The Candidates should appear in the subject of their Post Graduation. However, the candidates whose Post Graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects given at item No. 13 below, may appear in the subject related to their Post Graduation subject.

  • Candidates should note that their candidature is provisional. The mere fact that an admission card has been issued to a candidate shall not imply that the Commission has finally accepted his/her candidature. Candidates may note that their candidature will be deemed final upon verification of eligibility conditions with reference to the documents enclosed with their application. The Commission may call for any document(s) at a later stage to verify the eligibility of the candidates.
