Re: How to prepare for the CAT exam?

Dear...

Nothing is impossible for anyone. The thing that matters here is the way you prepare for the tough exam of CAT. If you have dedicated enough and plan your study well in advance then you can clear it very easily.

Here are some tips for you. :-

1. First of all make a chart where you have to write which all topic you have to study
2. Then start with the basics and clear your all basic doubts
3. After that Start with the subject that sounds to hard to you
4. Make a time table and give proper time to every subject
6. Focus more on the hard subjects and also give time to the easy ones
7. Do not hesitate to clear your doubts
8. Read daily newspaper ( at least two)
9. Solve mock test paper and sample paper
10. One important thing is to focus more on Time management as it is important

One thing that can save your time is to first solve all the questions and after that you must fill that in OMR as it will save a lot of time for you. Everything is possible so just direct your energy in the right direction.

mat exam and CAT syllabus are same but you can not clear CAT with MAT study material but you can clear MAT with CAT study material as CAT has high standard as compare to the CAT.

All the very best for the exam

Hope it will help

Cheers...!!!

How to prepare for the CAT exam?

Ans:

** Of course you can appear for CAT, MAT, XAT entrances even though you didn't have 60% aggregate in your academics

** Only thing I would like to say is, Some Universities and colleges needs 60% aggregate in your academics in order to give you admission

** So after you have qualified and applying to the colleges for admissions then only you will face this problem(Lack of 60% in your academics)

** So happily write CAT, MAT, XAT exams

All the Best

***CAT***
CAT is a multiple choice examination designed to test a candidates ability & aptitude for the admission in Indian institute of management(IIM).This entrance test is one of the standard tests fur the admission of country's elite B-Schools.

Your preparation for CAT will help you in solving problems of MAT.So it is enough that if you prepare well in CAT you will succeed in MAT also.

CAT is a test of your managerial aptitude and managerial skill sets like:

++ Time management
++How you handle pressure and uncertainty
++ Decision making

Remember, CAT is not about solving 150 questions in 120 minutes.

It is about solving 90 to 95 questions with 85 to 90 percent accuracy.

Tips for the preparation:
Tip 1: Handle pressure and uncertainty well. And reap the rewards!
Tip 2: Sequence and prioritise-- your mantras for success

At first remember CAT is a test of your managerial aptitude and managerial skills like -

2. Decision making

You don't need to solve 150 questions in 120 minutes .If you can solve 90 to 95 questions with 80 to 85 percent accuracy , you will crack it with good ranks .

There are some important tips of preparation for CAT-

1.Have a reflex strategy.
2.then decided the sequence you will attempt the various sections .
3.Allocate a time for each section .
4.Don't over burden your self at the last time .
5.Revise the math formulas at the last moment .
6.Read news papers daily .
7.Practice the maths of 8th,9th,10th.
8.For the first 3 to 4 minutes scan the hole question and find out the easy questions.
