I have passed my puc in 2008 & i hv attended cet also & got seat for engineering & took admission bt due to my father's illness iam not able to complete my education it was necessity for me to do a job so it got discontinued. Now iam out my all problems. Can i attend CET now & can i continue my studies again.

I have completed 10 years in Karnataka ie 2003 to 2014 (Class III to XII) AND CLASS I FROM MAHARASHTRA STATE BOARD AND II FROM CBSE KERALA. FOR SEVEN YEARS ELIGIBILITY FOR KCET 2014, is it necessary to produce study certificate of all 12 years or only for 7 years . also whether BEO countersignature is required ?

KCET Eligibility Criteria for Engineering

A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with PCMB

KCET stands for Karnataka Common Eligibility Test

If the following eligibility criteria required for KET be satisfy, then you will be eligible to appear for KCET Examination.

~>> KCET Eligibility Criteria for Engineering :~

A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Mathematics and any of the Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/

Electronics/ Biology with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in optional subjects (40% for SC/ST/OBC).


Those who are appearing for PUC or class 12th exams can also apply.

~>> KCET Eligibility Criteria for Medical/ Dental :~

A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50% aggregate marks in PCB (40% for

SC/ST/OBC).


Those who are appearing for PUC/ class 12th exams in the current academic year can also apply.

Also, a candidate should have attained the age of 17 years but not more than 25 years as on 31st December (of the year in which the candidate is going to appear for the

examination) are also eligible.


~>> For Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga :~

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology with atleast 50% aggregate marks in all these subjects taken

• Relaxation :- 45% aggregate marks in Physics, English, Chemistry and Biology for SC/ST/OBC category candidates.


~>> KCET Eligibility Criteria for Architecture :~

A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in all subjects (45% for SC/ST/OBC).

Candidates should have also appeared in NATA and got a minimum of 40% marks in it.

Those who are appearing for PUC/ class 12th examinations in the current academic year can also apply and appear for KCET Examination.

The forms for Karnataka CET will be availbale in Schools and Colleges of the Karnataka CET.
For those residing outside Karnataka, the form can be obtained by post from KEA by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.[/B]

Candidates who satisfy one of the following Clauses / Eligibility Criteria ONLY are eligible for selection of Government seats in Government, Aided, Private Un-aided Minority / Non-minority institutions through KEA. Each condition is specified as a clause and is individually referred by a code. The documents to be produced during seat selection process in support of the claim for each of the Clauses are also detailed below the respective clauses. The candidates who do not satisfy any of the Clauses / Eligibility Criteria detailed below and the candidates who do not produce the prescribed documents in original will not be eligible for admission to professional courses under Government quota seats.

ELIGIBILITY CLAUSES

CODE a) The candidate should have studied and passed in one or more Government or Government recognised educational institutions located in the State of Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years commencing from 1st standard to 2nd PUC / 12th standard as on 1st July of the year in which the Entrance Test is held and must have appeared and passed either SSLC / 10th standard or 2nd PUC / 12th standard examination from Karnataka State. In case of the candidate who had taken more than one year to pass a class or standard, the years of academic study is counted as one year only.
Documents to be produced: SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card, 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate, Candidate’s Study Certificate; If claiming Rural quota: - Rural Study Certificate; If claiming Kannada Medium quota: Kannada Medium Study Certificate; If claiming reservation benefits: Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in form E and 2A, 2B, 3Aand 3B in Form F.

CODE b) The candidate should have studied and passed both 1st and 2nd year Pre-University Examination or 11th and 12th standard examination within the State of Karnataka from an Educational Institution run or recognized by the State Government and that either of the parents should have studied in Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN years.
Documents to be produced: SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card, 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate; If claiming reservation benefits:- Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar- For SC / STin Form-D, Category-I in form E and 2A, 2B, 3Aand 3B in Form F., along with - (1) a certificate for either of the parent having studied for at least 7 years in Karnataka from the Head of the educational institution where he / she had studied.(2) the candidate’s study certificate for having studied both 1st & 2nd PUC or 11th & 12th standard in Karnataka issued by the head of the educational institution.

CODE c) The candidate and either of his / her parent’s mother tongue should be Kannada, Tulu or Kodava and either of parent’s was domiciled in the state of Karnataka, such candidate should have passed the qualifying examination from a University or Board or any other Institution located outside Karnataka and should be residing outside the State of Karnataka as on 1st May of 2011. Provided that the candidate shall undergo a Kannada Language test conducted by KEA.
Documents to be produced: SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card and 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with – (1) a domicile certificate issued by the concerned Revenue or Municipal Authorities certifying that the candidate and his father have resided outside the state of Karnataka as on 01-05-2011. The place of the Issuing authority should correspond to the place of domicile of the candidate / father / mother. (2) a domicile certificate issued by concerned Revenue Authorities of the state of Karnataka regarding the previous domicile of the father / mother of the candidate as a place in the state of Karnataka. The place of the Issuing authority should correspond to the place of domicile of the father / mother.(3) Candidate’s Study certificate, Transfer Certificate. (4) Father / mother 10th standard marks card / original cumulative record in original in support of mother tongue as Kannada / Tulu / Kodava. (5) Aduly sworn declaration regarding mother tongue of the candidates. Candidates should produce the photocopies of all the above documents compulsorily when they appear for Kannada Language Test on 26-04-2011, failing which, ranks will not be assigned.

CODE d) A candidate whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava should have resided and studied for a period of SEVEN YEARS between 1st and 12th standards in disputed Kannada speaking area of South Sholapur or Akkalkot or Jath or Gadhinglaj Taluks of Maharashtra State or Kasargod or Hosadurga Taluks of Kerala State. Provided that the candidate shall undergo a Kannada Language test conducted by KEA.
Documents to be produced: SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card and 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with – (1) a residential certificate from the concerned Tahsildar of the respective disputed Taluk. (2) candidate’s study certificate issued by the head of institution, which should be countersigned by Taluk Education Officer. (3) a duly sworn declaration regarding mother tongue of the candidates. Candidate should produce the photocopies of all the above documents compulsorily when they appear for Kannada Language Test on 26-04-2011, failing which, ranks will not be assigned. Note: The candidates claiming eligibility under Clauses ‘c’and ‘d’above, should invariably speak, read and write Kannada. Otherwise, they will not be assigned ranks.

CODE e) In the case of a candidate who is son or daughter of defence personnel who has worked continuously in Karnataka for a minimum period of one year during the two year period of study of candidates in PUC / 11th and 12th standard course. The candidate should have studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognised educational institution located in the State of Karnataka.
Documents to be produced: SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card and 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with – (1) the candidate’s study certificate for having studied 2nd PUC or equivalent examination in Karnataka issued by the head of the educational institution. (2) employment certificate of the parent issued by the Controlling Office where the parent is working indicating the period during which he has worked in the State of Karnataka i.e., from the reporting date to till date.

CODE f) Son or daughter of serving Defence personnel from Karnataka who at the time of joining the Defence service had declared his / her hometown a place in the State of Karnataka. Proof of such domicile should be obtained and produced by obtaining the extract from the Record Office of the Defence unit. Further, the candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India.
Documents to be produced: SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card and 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate; If claiming reservation benefits:- Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar as per the prescribed format given in the brochure along with parent’s home town declaration certificate while joining the service issued by Record Office of the Defence unit.

CODE g) In the case of a candidate who is a son or daughter of a defence personnel who had served in Karnataka for at least one year and is posted on duty in Field / Active Service and whose family is permitted by Defence Authorities to continue to stay in Karnataka. Such candidate should have studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognised educational institution located in Karnataka.
Documents to be produced: SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card and 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with – (1) the candidate’s study certificate for having studied 2nd PUC or equivalent examination in Karnataka issued by the head of the educational institution. (2) service certificate of the parent issued by the Controlling Office indicating the period during which the parent has worked in Karnataka and a certificate showing the present place of posting, indicating that his family is permitted to stay in Karnataka. The present working place of the parent should be indicated in NAME and not by CODE NUMBERS.

CODE h) Son or daughter of an ex-servicemen who at the time of joining the defence service had declared a place in Karnataka as his home town, proof of such domicile should be obtained and produced from the “Deputy Director, Department of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement”. Further, the candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India.
Documents to be produced: SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card and 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate; If claiming reservation benefits :- Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in form E and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in Form F, along with the parent’s home town declaration certificate while joining the service issued by the Joint Director / Deputy Director of the concerned district and countersigned by the Director, Department of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement, Bangalore.

CODE i) In the case of a candidate being a son or daughter of an employee of the Union Government or an employee of the Union or Karnataka State Government Undertaking or Joint Sector Undertaking, who is liable to be transferred anywhere in India as per the terms and conditions of his employment and has worked in Karnataka for a minimum period of one year during the two year period of study of candidates in PUC / 11th and 12th standard course and such candidate has studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognised educational institution located in the State of Karnataka.
Documents to be produced: SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card and 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with –(1) the candidate’s study certificate for having studied 2nd PUC or equivalent examination in Karnataka issued by the head of the educational institution. (2) a certificate from the employer indicating the parent’s period of employment in the State of Karnataka and also showing that he is transferable anywhere in India.

CODE j) Son or daughter of a working or retired employee of the Union Government or employee of Union or Karnataka State Government undertaking or Joint Sector undertaking where such employee; (a) had declared to the employer at the time of joining service any place in Karnataka to be his home town; and (b) had studied in any Government or Government recognised educational institution or institutions located in Karnataka for a minimum period of seven years; and was or is liable to be transferred anywhere in India as per the terms and conditions of his employment. Further, the candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India.
Documents to be produced: SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card and 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate; If claiming reservation benefits:- Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in form E and 2A, 2B, 3Aand 3B in Form F, along with – (1) a certificate of the parent employee for having studied for at least 7 years in the State of Karnataka from the Head of the educational institution where he / she had studied. (2) home town declaration certificate of the parent employee while joining the service and showing that he is transferable anywhere in India issued by the employer.

CODE k) Son or daughter of Members of Parliament elected from Karnataka. Further, the candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India.
Documents to be produced: SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card and 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate; If claiming reservation benefits :- Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in form E and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in Form F, along with a certificate showing that the parent is / was a Member of Parliament elected from Karnataka issued by the Parliament Secretariat.

CODE l) Son or daughter of serving or retired employee:
(a) belonging to All India Service of Karnataka cadre; and (b) of the Karnataka State Government, who has served or is serving outside the State of Karnataka during the period corresponding to Candidate’s study outside the State from 1st standard to 2nd PUC or 12th standard examination can be added to make up the seven years study within Karnataka as required under clause (a) above.
Documents to be produced: SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card and 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate ; If claiming reservation benefits :- Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar- For SC / STin Form-D, Category-I in form E and 2A, 2B, 3Aand 3B in Form F, along with - a certificate from the Principal Secretary / Deputy Secretary / Under Secretary, DPAR, Government of Karnataka, Bangalore where the parent belongs to All India Service of Karnataka cadre stating that the parent is a member of such All India Cadre. The certificate should also indicate the period during which he has served or is serving outside the state of Karnataka and if the parent is a State Government Employee, a certificate from the concerned Head of the Department or the Head of the Office where such parent is employed should be produced in this regard.

CODE m) Son or daughter of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants, proof of such migration (IDENTITY CARD) should be obtained and produced from the jurisdictional “District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner” of any state in India.
Documents to be produced: SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card and 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with a original certificate (IDENTITY CARD) issued by the Jurisdictional District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of any state in India, as the proof of migration. The candidates who are claiming eligibility under clause ‘m’are eligible only for the seats earmarked by the Government.

CODE n) The candidates who have studied TEN full academic years in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard in places outside the state of Karnataka. Such candidates need not appear for Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA. Provided the candidate should have studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognised educational institution.
Documents to be produced: SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card and 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with – (1) a domicile certificate issued by the concerned Revenue or Municipal Authorities certifying that the candidate and his father / mother have resided outside the state of Karnataka as on 01-05-2011. The place of the Issuing authority should correspond to the place of domicile of the candidate / father / mother. (2) Candidate’s Study certificate, for having studied in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard issued by the head of the institution.

Karnataka C.E.T exam is conducted by Karnataka Education council.

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass 12th with Physics, chemistry and maths with minimum 50% marks.

myself and my wife studied Karnataka till graduation and now living in mumbai my daughter is now in 10th std CBSE syllabus (born in Karnataka state) may continue her 11th std in Mumbai and has plan to go to mangalore for 12th whether she is eligible to appear for CET karnataka

For Engineering/Technology Courses:



If you are keen on choosing Engineering / Technology as your future career, then for the purpose of appearing in the KCET examination, you must pass the Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std. or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects, irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test.

For those candidates, who belong to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks for eligibility purpose will be 40% in aggregate in the optional subjects and if you fail to secure this percentage of marks, then you are not eligible to appear in KCET entrance examination.

Aspirants for the KCET architecture course have to pass the Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std. or equivalent exam. In that exam you must have with Mathematics as a compulsory optional subject among your subject combination and have to secure a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in all the subjects in the qualifying examination.

As an appearing candidate, you also have to compulsorily appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) and get a minimum of 40% in it.

If you are the candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes, then the minimum marks for eligibility will be 45% in aggregate in all the subjects in the qualifying examination. If you secure 35% marks in NATA, then also you will be selected. For rest of the KCET Exam test points.



Eligibility For Medical/Dental Courses:

These eligibilities are required if any aspirants belongs from biology stream and preparaing for medical/dental courses through Karnataka Common Entrance Test. KCET eligibilities for medical/dental courses are as follows..



If you are interested to take admission in KCET first year of Medical/Dental courses, you have to pass the Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. It is also required that English must be there as one of the languages of study.
You have to obtain a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in the PCB group and should secure a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB subjects in the Common Entrance Test (CET).
If the candidate belongs to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks for eligibility requirement will be 40% for the KCET.
If you are interested to join in the Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses then also you are required to fulfill the same criteria, mentioned above. Even the candidates belonging to Scheduled class, Scheduled tribe or any other backward class, then also he has to fulfill the same criteria, already been laid down.
For the purpose of taking admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses, the candidate must have completed the age of 17 years

no you will not be eligible for appearing in karnataka cet exams as mininimum 7 years academic qualification is required for appearing in karnataka cet exam and here you will complete 5 years of your academics in 2011.

DEAR,
yes you are eligible for that if you have domicile certificate but this is not so matter and you have passed the last exam from there than you can apply for it.

And if your father"s native place is karnataka, then it is easy to eligible

Sir, I have studied in Bangalore since Pre LKG but have been here on and off for more than 7 years in total as we had to shift to other locations. I have been here continuously studying here from 8th grade and will give my 12th boards this year. I also have my own house here in Bangalore and I would like to know if i am eligible for the CET Karnataka exam.

Prior to my marriage I was in Karnataka, After Marriage I am in Madhya Pradesh.My daughter born in Karnataka & done her whole
education from Madhya Pradesh. How can she appear in Medical Entrance of Karnataka now.

no body knows the things. All seems to be satta. Can anybody help me i am resident of karnataka, with domicile certificate being serving in paramilitary forces, my ward studing out side the state of Karnataka from his childhood. But me and my wife studed in karnataka. Can my child elibile for govt seat for MBBS to write KCET test 2012

ELIGIBILITY
Engineering /Technology courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC I 1 2th Std. Or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics
There is some marks relaxation FOR LOWER CATEGORY PEOPLE.
certain seats are there for other category from other states you can apply in that.

i heve read in times of india news paper on 18 page 5 ... that now all candidates who have aapeard for cet physics maths chemistry have become eligible for engineering this year ? i ve scored 35% in pcm can i get seat ?

There are many conditions which have to be looked upon.

You will have to refer the brouchure provided with the form for detail information.

As per my knowledge if you are domiciled to that state or your parent are domiciled to that state or you have studied in karnataka state for atleast 7 years then you will be treated as local otherwise you will be treated as non local.
